If you truely love someone, those wounds will never heal. the pain may become less, but it never goes away. A heart can only be broken so many times until it can't be mended.

What do Y O U do---??? Nothing--if the person can't get past all the issues--YOU need to move on. Don't waste your time on this person--my bet is it is the old sympathy game and he expects you to hang around and play all warm and fuzzy. Tell him to ditch the f*ggot act and either date you like he means it--or step aside. Good luck

You meet someone that you really like and that person likes you. But their heart has been broken and that person is afraid to let you in. What do you do to set the heart free?
be there gently...hold them with open arms...no demands or expectations...and always have a little chocolate in your bag! lol

Really, does it make you feel better to attack people? I don't come on here and lash out at people for expressing what they think. I may offer a different opinion
than what someone has, but I don't tell them to shoot themselves.
Obviously love hasn't done you any favors either. You're 54 and on a dating website. That's a great testimony of how love is so wonderful.

I just went through a "rebound" dating experience and no matter how much two people may "click", if they are still hurting from a past relationship...there is no room for you right now...I'd say move on and keep looking...

My cousin got divorced and was divorced for 3 years when he killed himself at home. So I can say his broken heart never healed.

I have written the below many times within different postings....
_____
But again, depending entirely upon the "situation" and what has actually happened within it between (2) people, is the only indication with regard to how fast someone will get over something.
Peoples hearts get broken for many different reasons. I assume that you are talking about "relationship" woes here ?
If you are, I would like to think that "every person" has the ability to heal with time (as long as they are not continually going over the same rubbish again and again). If they are...they will never heal and will continually get hurt.
If you are talking about other forms of "broken hearts" like the loss of a loved one (human or animal) or some sort of external loss in the outside world (and again, depending on the stressor that existed); then it depends on what sort of "support mechanims that person would have in their lives". If they are continually getting trashed all the time, that person will fall - eventually.
If that person has positive things in their lives to help them recuperate, they will heal within a decent time frame.

Leave...Come back after they have broken up with someone else that didn't break their heart.
or
Wait until they have mended that broken heart. They need to be over that broken heart before they can start a new relationship. Anything before this is just a fling or a rebound.

By giving yourself & your time....by showing that you will be around when THEY decide to take that wall down. That's how you get in and let them know that you really care, by sticking around until the wall comes down...not forcing it to suit your needs.
I sure hope that makes sense...I know what I'm trying to say here...just not sure my words are conveying it correctly. very well said-Love does the body good-not running scared, thanks

thanks for your post hun,but my opinion is if the new person is doing or saying the same things that the previous was about-No it is better to leave, but to leave just becuase 1 is still not quite over her/him emotionally at which sometimes never happins is wrong, and not giving you and the other a chance.jmo and as u know i love hearing yours and everyone elses opinions
