Why are so many women almost confrontational in their profiles about being single mothers. Every profile of single mothers I read sounds almost exactly the same. "I am a single mother of a beautiful girl/boy. He/she is my life and always comes first. If you can't accept that you are not for me blah blah blah." And then they wonder why they can't get a man. 
Yes, it is a big reason why you might be having trouble, especially when it's the first thing you talk about in your profile. Plus, you have pics of your child in your profile which is a very not smart thing to do concerning the safety of your child. We're not interested in dating your child or being a father to your child and we don't want to see pics of your child. We want to see pics of you looking good. Change your profile.

I didnt take that as an insult..but for the working on the trusting issue..how can you learn to trust again if all men you have ever trusted hurt you in 1 way or another..and im not just talking old boyfriends..im talking family here too..my dad turned his back on me when i became pregnant and that didnt help my trust issues either.

you are horrible at giving advice...If im going to date a guy im going to be upright about being a mom...cuz they dont just get me they get my girl too and im not saying in a daddy sence but a fatherly figure for them to look up to...im not going to lie about being a mom...its the most important part of my life.

Singlemother. I do think some guys around your age may be scared off by your being a single mother. That is their loss. From what you posted that you wait on him hand and foot, seems one sided. What have the men in your life done to help you out and treat you with respect? I agree with the post that said take a break from men and work on you and when you find the right guy things will be better. And no, I don't think it is all you. True, us guys do like our space. Though, honestly I am one who doesn't like to be alone and have too much space. I think us men are just as complicated as you ladies, we just don't like to show that part of us that is considered to be "weak." Hang in there, the right guy will be there for and with you.

On Topic:
You are the only one responsible for your own issues. There are as many awesome and amazing men in the world surrounding you, as the bad ones...you either let the past experiences to change you to a bitter, hateful, jealous woman, or you learn from them, and move on.
The good qualities in you certainly is worth the efforts for any man, but you are letting the past experiences to ruin you for any man who walks into your life. Kinda like, since you are expecting them to betray you...they will.
There will always be someone who will affect your life in one way or the other. You are the only constant...win your own victories...do not fail by others actions....take responsibility for your own actions and set to strengthen the amazing you that you portrayed to us at the begining or your posts.
You are worth it...prove it to YOU...nothing and no one else matters.

Look at what texassweetness, foxy woman 49, and irresistiblered had to say. These "ladies" are giving you the straight shot,,, learned through thier hard earned experience. Try to avoid what many of the guys have to say. Its in our nature to be rather self serving. Your a young puppy with lots to learn. Try using their experieces, and wisdom, to avoid haveing to learn too many things the hard way. They are being very honest with you. HEY! I've been around a long time and know of what they speak.

Yes...But you learn by many means...the most effective and less destructive way is by what you hear from others.
Then your maturity decides which way and what advise to take, and what to leave off.
Why we all have to live and learn, when there are others who have lived and learned and can tell me how and what????
isn't that why we are here? to experience life? to hear what the others are experiencing?
I have paid a GREAT price for every word I told her...if I can make her hear even one word of what I wrote, she will shed one tear less, I have accomplished what I had meant to do.
The rest is up to her.
Besides...look at the great service I have done to her next man...lololol...one less miserable man, would make the world a better place...
