It's the easiest thing in the world to get your hopes up as you chat,email and talk on the phone. Disappointment is part of the leap. It is a risk to meet someone through this kind of avenue.. but we encounter risks every single day. How sad it would be to perhaps pass by the best thing that could ever happen to you because of fear of risk. The hurt can be brutal when one feels the connection and the other doesn't... but... I think one can live with that alot easier than to live with the nagging " what ifs" down the road.

tru the question is this did the person learn any thing from this that is positive so they can move forward and not let them slow this person down. i think i'm allmost possative they did besides that they have support here from me if they need it.

I think such a meeting would be totally worthless if one did not bring something back of value ( lesson learned) from the meeting. I, myself, have added to my " search for The one" manual some valuable footnotes that I have learned from the past of meetings. To me.. that only makes my future and search even brighter

I think we all have had such meetings. It's not the end of the world if 2 people do not connect.. although.. for some, it can certainly feel that way and I am in no way making light of that. If finding what we are seeking was made easy, none of us would have a reason to be on these sites.

sorry if you thought i was trying to make light of the situation that wasn't my purpose i would not do that when a person is still feeling the affects of something like that because you have gotten further than i did i got shut down on the first phone call and i felt robbed of what could of ben so please don't think of me in that way.
