I have had them issued to me in the military, have been known to wear them when I lived in Illinois when I knew I would be outdoors for extended periods on exceptionally cold days, and even keep a set in reserve should they be needed. They are definately not sexy nor are they intended to be. I have never actually seen a pair with a trap door in the rear or in any color other than white or light beige. Granny panties are sexy compared to long johns.
