Is it simply because we have a small population? Is it because town to town is such a distance? Is it because I am too ugly and they hide?

Shazaam! A day late and a mere 350 miles away. And yesterday I was coerced by friends to go on a blind date with an available woman. Just when I thought I had exhausted the local supply of three, I find out there is four. Happy New Year right back at you Chickidee

Well there you have it, there are 2 of us at least. Wyoming is great because there aren't lots of people. Hopefully you'll meet someone closer I have to admit. Or summer will come and more traveling

Well it was my question and the introduction didn't work out. Though it took three weeks and three dates to find out. Sigh......but I shan't give up. When you start the process of elimination..........based on values, boundaries, likes and dislikes as well as companionship balanced with individualality, it is no wonder this search takes a long time.

Yes, finding the right one isn't easy especially over long distances. Keep looking and enjoy life. It's to short to not just enjoy the day and don't exhaust the dates

There's another one in Lander....just turned 59. Been here a year. Came from Washington State...north of Seattle.....it's a lot different here. I get lonely for adult communication.

I was talking to a co-worker today. She is turning sixty in a few weeks and lost her husband three years ago to an illness. I am in Utah, so maybe I shouldn't be posting on here about this, but she seemed to think there was a shortage of men in the age group you speak of. Maybe all the women are in Utah and all the men are in Wyoming?

A while back looking on several dating sites, there were more women looking than I could have imagined! Of course not all of them were in the 50-60 year range, but quite a few. I was surprised. Darn if I could get a date, or even get but 1 or 2 to talk to me. Had worked the last 2-3 summers all out of northern wyo. Best luck was with a nephew who was a nurse keeping me lined up!

You think finding a woman between 50 and 60 is hard?... naaaaa try men from 60 to 70. Or 65 and stil alive. But Colorado is tough also.

What the heck, I am tossing my hat into the ring too! I am not sure that there are too few women, I think that it is just that a lot of us in this age group are a little more cautious. And perhaps some of us are a little old fashioned, waiting for you to make the first move. And then there is me!

Ask me about finding someone close to my age. I am not the typical 70 year old woman - but to find men to date is difficult. They are very scarce.
