New to the group just a few weeks old!!! need some insite from my neighbors in hawaii...Where are the best social enviroments for singles.....its hard to go out alone and kinda embaressing when men stare at you like your some kinda fish out of water....i live on ohau and so many places to party and socialize, but where do singles go? i always see couples and groups of friends...dont have a social group and men just dont seem to respond to these dating sites...why???maybe its just me, not their type..but all of them????thats serious bad luck!!! any suggestions from anyone in hawaii????

Welcome! You're not alone. I don't know what the men would say about us women, but you're right in that these sites do not seem good for response from men for dating if that's what you're looking for. I gave up on that. The right man just shows up when I quit looking. Good thing I got other things going on in my life. However, I love the people on this Hawai'i site. The men who regularly respond are really nice and have some great things to say. The women are wonderful! I enjoy checking in with them. On the other hand - Mauibabe and Toyone got lucky! Yaaaaay!!!!

Don't give up hope and DON'T let the distance bother you... Toy lives over 4000 miles from me.... If it is real you will find a way. Lots of extra things to figure out but hey it is worth it.
Get involved in the age groups and on this one.... the guys are there and some will chat.. toy was on here ariganlly as shy2you and he was shy... he did not come into the groups untill I had him come into this one and 50's. we got to know each other more via e-mails and phone calls and this one group...
sooo hang n there... I have seen several couples get together and 1 married and 2 others have set dates.. and toy and I are on the way.

aloha kids!
finally gotten caught up enough to get out and start exploring, all islands.
though my grandparents and mom lived here before i was born, i only just moved here august before last...definitely home!! might move to another island, but not back to mainland!
looking for where to expand residential microfarm to real acreage. gathered tools, materials, plants, experimental data...
so far my only problem here is customer repellent shipping policies and flashburn from welding naked.

Aloha. I moved to the big island and started teaching on Dec. 1st. I would love to meet people to do things on the island. I am living between Hilo and Honokaa on the Hamakua coast. I want to go see the whales on Maui the last week in March. I also am looking for things and people to do things with on the weekends.

Smiles, one of my favorite places to go when I am on the island is the shorebird on Wakiki beach, its a hotel but the restaurant is on the beach open air and they have fun karaoke.
if you go, say hi to Elvis when you see him and tell him I said Hi from Kuwait. He will know, he and his wife are regulars and wonderful wonderful people.

Aloha from Moloka'i,
I am definitely brand new to this site. This is my second day.
I would very much want to meet people around my age group from the neighbor islands and possibly have a get together here on Moloka'i.
I am on Maui once a month for my commission meetings and on O'ahu frequently, especially when I travel interisland, out of state and or out of the country. I also am in Kona allot which is where I am originally from.
I love to travel and now that I am retired, I have the time and the resources to do so.
