Good luck with this one! I'm new on the dating scene but it sure doesn't seem like there are many places to meet new people here in the Soldotna/Kenai area except at the bar or church. Sigh....

I am new to the Kenai/Soldotna area myself. Moved from Oregon to get married but he ended up being one major liar and player.
I am 43, divorced and looking for friends myself.

Try looking at the community postings at stores or in the paper. Join a community group volunteering or take a community class in something. Even if you don't meet someone at the group or class chances are you'll meet somebody who'll introduce you to someone. Strike up a conversation with somebody at the local coffee shop or grocery store. You never can tell where you'll meet someone.

I know of a really Awesome Peninsula. THE UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN. "A special place for special people." Surrounded by the Greatest of the Lakes. Superior, Michigan, and Huron.
Am not talking about Michigan's lower peninsula. Completely different environment.
ONE MICHIGAN: TWO DIFFERENT 'STATES' OF MIND!

Why would any one in an Alaska Chat forum room care about the upper peninsula of Michigan.

Fishing. Especially in the summer. My dad met a bunch of nice ladies at the beach when he was fishing.
