well, i was married for thirty years to a man that profoundly disapponited me in the end. i married him at..... 14! i know it sounds crazy even to me. go ahead and make your jokes. trust me i've already heard them all and yes, i was raised in the deep south.
anyway, going through the divorce was the worst experience of my life, but i'm still a romantic at heart. i still believe in true love and i hope to one day find that true love. so, i would remarry and i'll never give up hope of finding my soulmate.

Everyone knows it is not wise to say never...but...when I think of what the future holds for me, I do not see marriage. I am very happy and comfortable with the life I have, although I would like to have a special person in my life...to experience loving someone and having that person love me. For young people that want to love, share a lifetime, make a family...marriage is a must. For someone my age, it becomes much more complicated, and now I also know, it may not be to death due us part. The one thing I do not want to do, is start all over, emotionally, financially or socially. The best way for me to put it...I know I need love...I know I need to love...I just don't need marriage.

I sure would remarry to to the rt guy. I've been divorced now for over 20yrs and i've had marriage proposals before, but, i knew they were not the rt one for me, so, i turned them down. When Mr. Right, comes along, i will know it., and it will be thumbs up and on and popping for me. Me, i loved being married, and i was in love for a long time. And i want to marry for love again. I would definitely marry again, provided I found the right gentelman that is. I learned a lot about myself and about relationships in the 19 years I was married to my ex. Grew in ways I didn't realize I needed to or knew I could. In that respect I don't regret the time spent. I would be cautious though, after all the process wasn't pain free and I do have three children to consider. In the end though I wouldn't allow my children to dictate my partner.

Yes I want to be married again. There is nothing wrong with marrying when you are older. Although you must be careful of course, I enjoyed being committed to the marraige and was always faithful. It is just hard to find the right man...Thats the tough part.

Have to agree on some points more than others,, after the bitter end we all get scared and thinking about marriage sometimes we only think of the worst stuff, but we all had good days while married, I'm on my 7th year divorced and I have been looking for the woman that will help me get all those lost moments and all that passion that I have to give.

Like most of us here I'm looking and will keep on looking until I find her!!!

I have been divorced for many years. My last relationship ended about 13 years ago. I was afraid of meeting anyone after that. I seem to meet the same type of person, and I blame myself for being so naive. Anyway, I have been learning to be more self confident and to learn much about the person that I meet before getting too serious.
I am not bitter or afraid to meet someone anymore. I am waiting patiently until I meet the person that I want to marry and wants to marry me. I know he's coming. Like someone else said here, GOD promised me. Until then, I have a good job, am very ambitious, completely honest and loving with health insurance.

Yes I would. I loved the feeling of being committed to someone. Regardless of a piece of paper I still believe in marriage even after marrying the same guy twice. I am ready to settle down again, and am not afraid of the "M" word, regardless of my situation. Its a beautiful thing, and as I always say, "not everyone is like your ex" .

I can relate to an earlier post. I have been divorced over 10 yrs. Most people don't understand that is wasn't that I didn't want to ever remarry or anything, I just had other things to take care of like raising my daughter. I am now in a place where I am secure in my life and not really sure how marriage would fit in. But my daughter is growing up and she'll be on her way soon, so now I am ready to focus again on my personal relationships. I might marry if the right man came along.

I agree with Stargazer in the beginning..

It would be hard to buy a license again, but to live as a married couple with the right person for the rest of my life might be my option, I know it may seem wrong, but what does the piece of paper add to it?

Hi all, When my divorce first started I said never again. And I had good cause, he left our 13 year marriage and me and 2 young boys without a backward glance, for a much younger woman. But I have had a lot of my faith in men restored by friends. I think it would be a really hard decision but, I believe in marriage and families. And I know not all men are bad, so yea I might, if it were the right man and the trust was there.

I had 4 relationships. Three of them were cheaters and liers. And my last of the three I was with for six years, And she Keyboard f**ked some guy in canada, Moved there a month later and got pregnant first day they were down there. My last relationship who is my ex wife. I was with her for a year and a half. I talk to her. Found out all I could about her. Showed her who I was. And told her everything about me. And the day we were married she even told me that she was never happier and that I was the best thing that could ever happen to her aside from her 2 sons, And then 2 weeks after we were married; She kicked me out to move my groomsmen in. And then blaims me for being the one in the wrong,So no matter how much you make sure they are the right one. It can still lead to lieing and cheating. So like I said. I have no trust left and no I will not re marry. besides I don't think I could live through another heart break like the last 2 again. It would kill me.

After my divorce in 1986, I vowed to never remarry. After 20 years, I decided to take the plunge again. Cancer got her before I could. One of the last things that she said to me was to make me promise to find a good woman and to be happy. That is why I am on this sight. My answer would be "Yes".

No, can't say that I would. At my age having a companion to share travel or restaurants, movies with is all I want. Many seniors do not remarry as they would loose their Soc. Sec. benefits. I'm of the thinking that a woman and I can enjoy the day and then return to our separate homes. Or we can stay overnight with each other. Seems like a nice arrangement to me!

I would be this time I would make sure he was truly committed to the relationship. I don't believe you should get divorced without a valid reason. All marriages are going to have ups and downs and no one is happy with their spouse 100% of the time but its how we treat each other even when we don't have that in love feeling that counts. Our spouses don't deserve to be the brunt of our bad moods just because we our their spouse. You wouldn't treat a stranger or your boss badly so treat your spouse the way you want to be treated and their would be less divorces in this country. So yes I would remarry to the right person.
