i have talked to a few men that have interestingly brought up that when on dates w/a woman that she was "too forward" sexually or affectionately and i was wondering if men really experience this kind of actions and how u all feel about it.
cuz at first i would think to myself, well, men like when a woman is forward and shows herself to be of interest to the guy, but i have heard of complaints from men where they say its too much and it turns them off. meaning maybe kissing too soon or even doing some groping themselves.
is this a double standard when women do it or is it acceptable for women as opposed to when a man makes strong moves in the beginning?
i realize we all have our boundaries physically, but just wondering if men can really get offended!
cuz u know if i pinch your butt, that means i WANT to hop your bones NOW!!

Sometimes it does happens and I believe for the most part.....some women just want to be validated without really trying to be forward...but it may seem to be forward from the mans part.....now did this make sense??....it does to me...........Sea

i think it just depends on the guy. some men desire and welcome sexually aggressive women while others will balk at them and prefer to take things a lot slower. personally, i will only start to get touchy-feely with a guy when i have known him for a block of time and can sense that he is receptive to me doing this.

Mary,
I have heard the same thing...
I'm by no means forward, I might be thinking something BUT I don't react on it...
I'd rather have the guy try to do something then ask me...OK now I'm gonna embarass myself...
HEY..."why'd you back away when I tried to kiss you?"
I tell them... "I can be shy at times especially if I like a person, and that's how I reacted"...
WHAT that does in my case is open up communication, and allow me to get past being shy!

Since the guys I like are pretty secure in their masculinity and have zero problems taking charge in the affection realm...this has not been a situation I've encountered yet!

if there isnt much connection or attraction at first..then it would feel to forward to me..if 1 person was only attracted. But with me..if i have gone on a date with someone..the connection/attraction has already happined..otherwise i am not a hit and run kinda guymy flute plays differently i guesshave to add a tish more k..all this can throw me thinker off if she isnt honest on everything.
they kinda like to bait you..then play the flute good hoping to get the part

is that what's it about, a man being "secure in his masculinity" to be able to handle a woman if she's too FORWARD or aggressive??
very interesting answer and curious WHY u say that. i would think personally it doesnt matter whether a man is secure or not. maybe he just DOESNT WANT or PREFER a woman to be too aggressive and would actually like to take things slow...
i mean in a way its hard to believe cuz men r so accused and r known for taking things fast....but there must be reasons why they would be offended or just not want to have a woman move full speed ahead!
now i wouldnt say i move like a tricycle, but im not exactly a Ferrari either!

I don't know, Mary...I think if a guy doesn't give off some nice vibes in that area, he'd probably be kind of boring in bed, and I'm not interested in a Moral Majority fun police kind of guy. I'm not saying he has to be an animal (at least not in public), but get real...who wants a guy with a Church Lady tea party mentality?!?

I would have to say in most cases, I like when a woman makes a move as it can be very flattering and a turn on for sure. But, and this is a BIG but, too much is too much. For example, I went out with a woman last year, and 20 minutes into our first date, her foot was in my crotch under the table. My thinking was just how many guys does she do this to? Yuck!! Big difference between making moves and acting like a tramp.

I went out Saturday night to hear my buddies band play live. I sat and just watched all the goofballs and people getting drunk. Dancing and doing what ever.I watched three woman, nice looking just throwing them selves at any guy who would pay attention to them. I thought now why would a bunch of pretty woman have to act like that. There pretty enough they can have anybody they wanted. I know they saw me sitting at the table by myself but if they came over playing that crap with me I would tell them to get lost. I do get affended if woman come on like there crazzy little perverts like that. They're ladies, they don't need to act like animals. I have the highest respect for woman. I'm not into meeting someone and then playing hide the meat pole an hour later. I'm very old fashion. I was raised well and with pride. I would like to meet someone with the same aspect.

"I know they saw me sitting at the table by myself but if they came over playing that crap with me I would tell them to get lost."
And that is why Steve ,they did not come over to you and play their "being forward" ploy .
You presented a persona that told them not to come hither and taught me .
People have an innate ability to read body language ,eye contact ,Ora if you will , that tells them they may enter another persons space ,that they are willing to play ,that they may be forward and make advances .
I have always enjoyed more the company of women that are respectfully forward verses those timid and shy .Being respectfully comfortable with another in each others space is ,well ,comfortable .
If one doesn't want another in their space ,being forward ,put up walls ,body language that says you ain't welcome here .
People do it all the time .

Steven...reread what you just said...Nice looking throwing themselves on men...OKKKKKKKKKKKKKK...they have a reputation that's why they are ALONE...and trying so damn hard to just THROW themselves on men thinking all men are that stupid!
Like my kids come home and tell me this girl gives blow jobs, this girl sent out nude pics online, this girl has sex... OKKKKK these girls are SAD they are only between the ages of 14-18 and they already are know as the SCHOOL SLUTS they even started this back in junior high...the boys want nothing to do with them ALREADY!
Makes me SICK!!!

Why is it so bad to go for what you want? I have no problem going up too a guy and asking him ask or flirting with him. I don't have a problem with making a move if I think that we are both interested.
I am a take me as I am kind of woman, so if a man doesn't like that. Sorry.

wow, a lot of differing opinions on here in regards to women being forward!
i see there is slight differences tho in flirting, being vulgar and just plain out being too-touchy(aggressive)....and i think there r definitely distinctions betw all....
flirting is safe and fun as NEO said(as long as u respect the privacy space and whether you r welcome in it).....i know if i dont want a guy to flirt w/me, i just cross my arms and he gets the point!
vulgar is just plain out vulgar...neither men or women shud be like that...but, hey, who am i to judge??...i think this might be where ppl r saying its just not !
(too funny w/the "foot in the crotch" comment and "hide the meatpole" one too)gotta love the antedotes!
and being forward and somewhat aggressive doesnt always have to be a bad thing depending on what it is and how its done. i think a lot of men would like a woman being "forward" but i suppose know each other's personal boundaries until word has been given "DO ME"....joke!....trying to lighten it up!

Well im sure there are those who have heard my stories of
women I have encountered on this site!...
I for one love a forward woman, but when that woman I end up seeing
in person is not the one who I fell for online(didnt look at all the same,
or not at all the same person) then goes on to throw herself onto
me like its nothing...Well I think not!
If there is chemistry that flows like a river, then I am all for
getting with it! If you want to let me get over the feeling from
being misled, well the romantic side can still have a chance later
on with a few more dates.

I'm a member of the "act like a lady in public" group. I know you have all been out and about with someone in your group who embarassed you by acting the slut, or just generally acting like a moron. Many people do not know the real me because I do my best to conduct myself as a lady - at least in public. It also helps you weed out guys who are looking for a quick roll in the hay...
Look, I've had guys that I was immediately attracted to, and occassionally I have been the more aggressive person. However, when you act like a wh*re, you might be setting yourself up to be treated as one. In the end, it isn't the GUY'S reputation that suffers, its ours.

This is true and I SOOO have some of those friends. However, you shouldn't hide who you are or not show the real side of you to people because of that fact. You can't be yourself and a lady too?
I consider myself to be quite the lady and I am always myself. ANd I can be a bit on the wild side too but I manage to still keep in focus my morals and values while doing so.

============
Tigress mating habits:
A female will enter oestrus, or 'heat', either seasonally -- if it is a temperate climate -- or throughout the year in more tropical areas. Oestrus is the time when a female is receptive and able to become pregnant.
She will signal her readiness for breeding in various ways, including roaring, moaning and scent marking with a distinctive-smelling urine, mixed with a secretion from the anal gland.
Vocalisations can be persistent and one female was recorded as roaring 69 times in only 15 minutes. Approaching males sometimes reply.

It depends how she is too forward. I would have said it was impossible until I went out with a woman that just assumed the next step would be buying his/her towel sets....and that was before we'd finished our first meal together. If it is just sexually forwardness, as long as she isn't groping me in public, not a problem. Either I'm interested or I'm not and am quite capable of telling her so.
Frankly I think it would be more fun for both potential partners to be as up front about their desires as is possible.....and not take offense if they don't exactly match. There is too much time and tension wasted on men and women trying to play the role they think the other desires least they offend......with crossed signals and missed connections the end result. This is from a guy who got fried once for wanting to watch the movie vice using the cloak of darkness for other activities. For the younger folks, this is back in the day when you couldn't just go rent the movie and watch it at your leisure (yeah, yeah, back when dinosaurs roomed the earth).

This thread is too funny.. I can be forward, at the right moment and yes, body language has a lot to do with it...if i know a guy is attracted and he's showing signs of wanting a kiss or more (depending on how long we've known each other), I usually will make the first move and never had any complaints either...the guys i have known, love a woman to take charge...
As far as women throwing themselves while out dancing? My friend and i go out a lot, and she tends to get carried away after a few drinks, but not me...i do not approach men nor throw myself at them, because i am a lady...but, there are always men who approach me on the dance floor and i don't turn them away...they love to bump and grind also, which is mostly playful fun, nothing more!
And, i have met a lot of guys who want to brag up their sexual experiences, sizes, etc...well, they got a shock of their lives after i took charge and made them feel like virgins all over again.. They weren't intimidated in the least bit, but very turned on by it...

I have no problems with a woman being forward. If it's something I'm not ready for I'll let them know, if they're worth while then they'll understand.
Seems about the same as a guy that's too forward. Right?

That pic was too funny mary...that's the old fashioned bumping...today we still bump hips, but the grinding is fun too...couples grind their pelvis's against each other (very sexually) and see how low they can go,while doing it...sometimes, other couples will join in until you have a train of people bumping and grinding together...sort of like a dance floor orgy! It's a lot like the movie "dirty dancing", only dirtier! it's a lot of fun!

So what doe's this mean, being too forward? I'm guessing it would be a woman who would like grab a mans crotch or ass? That's just being crude. Who would do that?
I'm not ashamed to say that I'm an out going type, so if I like a guy, he's gonna know.
I have no problem telling him to just "shut up and kiss me"
And if I think he's fine, he's gonna know. If he has a problem with who I am, then I'm guessing we aren't a good match anyway.
It all gets a tad confusing, I must say.
Men don't like woman to be too forward.
Men don't like woman to be prudes. It's enough to make your head spin.
Good thing I don't take any of it seriously

i agree, SLEEPWALKING, thats why in one of my earlier posts i tried to make the distinction of what being "too forward" could mean.
i think its safe to say most men would like a woman to be forward and show interest if its mutual, but not be crude and unclassy...cuz that DOES send a whole other picture!
men have feelings too, sniff, sniff!
