Directions from Wellsboro: NOTE: All direction are from the center of town.
Suggested route if pulling a camper:
If entering Wellsboro from Mansfield on Rt.6 or entering from Morris on Rt.287, at main street turn RIGHT
Head Northeast on Main St/PA-287/PA-660/US-6 2.8 miles
Continue on Grand Army of the Republic Hwy/US-6 12.0 miles
Suggested route (other)
If entering Wellsboro from Mansfield on Rt.6 or entering from Morris on Rt.287, at main street turn LEFT
Main St/PA-660 which will turn into PA-362 8.3 miles
Turn LEFT at the stop sign onto US-6 4.0 miles
If coming to the area on US-6 from the Gaines direction (East)…The Camping area will be on your Right just pass Rexford.
If you Google.... it's not right...it shows Woodlands Ave
Woodland Camp Grounds, camping prices this year are:
$9.00 per person per night
Tents free, Campers, pop-ups or trailer are $5.00 per night
Electric $5.00 per night extra and TV $5.00 for the weekend.
Showers are about .50 to .75 cents.(Meter)
NOTE: All fees will be paid directly to the owner (office) You must check-in and leave your information.....It will also allow you to be contacted if you do have an EMERGENCY at home or need to be contacted.....Cell Service is not good in the area of camping.
Here is a little insight to for those who which to participate but can not sleep in the outdoors in a tent, etc.
(1) Coach Stop Inn $89 a night accommodates 2 with different setups.
(2) Colton Point Motel is $64 a night
(3) Sherwood Motel in Wellsboro is $91 a night.
NOTE: There are others in the area or in town.
What you have and what you can share.... list....If you are bring a camper, would you share that with others so that they may enjoy the camping experience and how many you can sleep....Example:
Have the following:
One pop-up with Electric hook-up, propane gas stove (sleeps four, comfortable)
One tent (sleeps two)
One Easy-up
Two Air mattresses...2 double size
Two Gas Lanterns...1 propane....1 liquid fuel
One Liquid fuel gas stove...double burner
One propane gas stove.....single
When it comes to the food; This will be discussed later and will try to update any changes.....so check back often.....

My daughter and her sons are the real campers here. She has enough stuff to choke a horse so I will see what I can use that weekend. Will post what there is later. The offer for a ride still stands. Full size van, can use the company . Just need to get lessons on how to use the equipment so I don't look totally confused.

Well tcpco.....this one is all but at your front door along with Mslonely but even if you have to work, you can still visit, if after some of the Smilin's "JELLO", you will be legally drunk for driven...
Sorry Smilin..... them there things are enough to make you go skinny dippen without a second thought........ and yes, there is a creek (Upper Pine Creek) 50 yards away from the camp site......
MR.Bill...bring the fishing rod...we may need to fish one of them there wild things from that there creek...now I know that would make you smile....

Sure wish we could get more people involved with this camping meet & greet weekend....such a pretty place to spend a mini vacation and even do it with friends....I've read a lot of profiles that say "Camping" but I sure don't see many of those names on here....so what's the problem........I would like to know !!
Look folks....this is open to any age group 21 and above, reason for that, the possibility of alcohol being present...Just like any other meet and greet...we do have a responsibility to other guests, friends and want you to not drink and drive.....
Do not come with big expectations, but come to relax, have fun and meet others Pa. Chat people, share "the real you" with others. Don't need to dress up and be fancy but be yourself, jeans, shorts, tee shirts, etc. Forget the good hair day...darn...you should see some of us when we get up.....you will ROFLAO...not at you but with you.
Tell me....what do you have to lose by trying something new or just join in for a day or evening of relaxation with "FRIENDS".

In resent weeks, many good folks have been affected by the many storms that have pasted through the area...one of which did dropped tennis ball size hail. To you, as well as to the other folks, my heart go out to all of you.....Things do change in a heart beat and this is understood but if things do change and you can make it, please do so....you will be welcomed as a friend.....

That's the idea so you will come.... My boys and brother would say, "when we went North hunting in the fall.....we didn't go to hunt, we went to eat"......I would just set back and and 
Dang, they were good times.....Now it hard to get them all together because of "work" schedules....

i was there last weekend.the canyon is a great scenic place.
2 bear made their way through camp.1 visited twice and kinda hung out for a while.
note:if you're coming from the west on 6.......turn onto 362.thats a good shortcut not shown on mapquest.it avoids going through wellsboro and cuts off about 20 minutes.

Think I might join everyone this time - might not get there till mid afternoon but sounds like a great time - need to get away from this computer!!!!
Anytime you get there will be just fine...just come, that is what part of this is about...getting people out from behind the computer and to meet face to face in a safe environment with others and have some fun doing it.....Free yourself from that computer and join in even if it's just to visit and meet other fine folks.
For those who have no clue what a meet and greet maybe or would like to check out some that were just held......please browse the treads....Justwnt has picture posted and if there are questions, I would suggest dropping mail an ask....I do beleive anyone that was at one of these, including myself, will be more then happy to answer your question/s...some of them were first timers also and I suspect they would share their feeling with you also.
