Business is partly to blame for all of this illegal immigration. Just as an example, this past week hundreds of landscapers and other advocates for high immigration were at Capitol Hill, trying to influence the Congress to provide them with more foreign labor. They are hoping that increases in foreign labor will be sneaked into the giant appropriations bills that have to be passed before Christmas. I cannot name a specific bill since there are at least a dozen different proposals to increase foreign workers of all kinds.
In connection with the above, landscapers and others who use illegal immigrants as cheap labor claim that they are on the verge of going out of business and that the American economy is in danger because of severe labor shortages -- unless they are permitted to continue to use illegals.

I know a considerable number of landscapers, and have in other countries. None were illegals. However, I realize that there are numerous somewhere that are. The thing with the landscapers that makes me not feel sorry for them is because I have done the books for them before. I was not only horrified at what they charge for such piddly work, I was disgusted by the write up on supplies! Seems to me that they jack prices as much, if not more, than almost any other profession, except medicine. So no way I would be all up in arms about their complaints. Probably just a bad example for me to respond to, but still, they COULD FIND AMERICAN WORKERS they just don’t want to. And I really don’t think the economy would be damaged as much as some say by eliminating the illegals, and having the jobs taken by Americans. I know that the decline in demands on our social services would go a long way toward helping.
LOL, and yeah, jewelz is about as nuckin futs as it gets. I never even bother to read his posts, just see bits and pieces when other people quote him. But yeah, I always get a mental picture of some guy hiding in his basement with the tin foil hat.
