Nice seeming guy wanted to chat with me, chat on this site was not working so I said ok you can add me to your msn. So I get on msn with him, and "how are you"? "fine" Then the very next thing was "Do you have a webcam?" so I said yes, forgetting that with the chat program I was using it doesn't work. "Can I see you on it?"? I said no, I'm not comfortable with that. Then I changed the subject. "Come on, let me see you on your cam." I said no again. "How old are your pictures?" (some are older than others, all are labelled and most are within the past four months, one being two weeks old). I pointed this out. "come on, let me see you on your cam" (I should add it was in very broken seeming English for a white guy who was allegedly in Ontario, Canada. "Come on I want to see you" (typos and spelling mistakes removed)
After times four and five that I said no, I said "We will obviously not get along. I already said no, and I don't like people who are pushy that way. I hope you find what you are looking for which is obviously not me." and blocked him.
I couldn't figure out what he was on about, then I read that scammers want to see you on your webcam to make sure you are not the police. So needless to say I reported him. Still, as this was my very first contact here I hope it's not a trend.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. You have to be so careful on any site. I had several guys wanting me to give them my address, ph# etc, or wanting to come to my home on a different site....Uhh No way Buddy
A good reminder for us all to be careful online...

We should all remember Wisediva's advice of being careful. Lot's of scammers out there. DH may not have quite as many as some sites but they DO exist here, too. I've only had a couple from the Alberta area but I have found that most I've had were supposedly from Florida, & more recently, from California. You can usually tell by the grammar & the differences between their profiles & their original e-mail to you.
To repeat Wise's warning BE CAREFUL everyone!

Rember not all guys aren't cam pervert's and how do you going on cam prove you are the police or not when you are wearing your street cloths?
any way I personally like to see who I'm talking to to prove they are actually a girl and not some 50year old man pretending to be a 23yr girl. I don't push the issue because I know not everyone likes to go on cam right away.
from what I read I doubt they were a white guy from Ontario if they couldn't spell properly.
and every where I go and hear of people giveing out there phone numbers and such if you are dumb enough to give your number or address to someone you just met you should be removed from the jean pool. the first thing you learn when you start useing the net is don't give more than your first name mabey if you live in the US the state but no more than that.
