Anyone else interested in going to Costa Rica for a few weeks or longer this winter? I am going down sometime in Oct or Nov, and no-one I know can take the time off to go. This will be my third trip, and would love to get a group together that wants to go and enjoy sand and 88 degree average tempature.
Depending on how many want to go, looking at 100 dollars a day to stay at a 5 star resort on the Pacific Ocean, or 25 a day in the Mts.

Well I bought a one way ticket, found a couple of apartments near the beach in the 300 price range, and a hotel for 350 for the month. Airfare was just over $300. Even if I have to leave every 90 days until I can establish residency it will be an adventure.
I leave next week, still surprised could not find anyone who needed a winter adventure. Wish you all well, and hang in there! Remember life is to short not to enjoy every single moment!

Just a passport, good for 90 days. A trip down to Panama, or belieze, and you are good for another 90 days.

Sounds like fun.

When I get the finances to travel beyond the US borders, I will be going to New Zealand with whoever can go. Regardless of roundtrip plans, I hope to be some place other than where I currently am by the end of next year -- might not even leave SD and still be able to get out of the rut I'm in -- no weed seeds/plants needed. Have been meeting some great people lately so do not feel as strong of need to leave SD even with winter coming. Might change my mind the first time I get stuck in snow, wake up with the furnace not working, or wreck my vehicle on the way to work by sliding off the road.

Guessing you are already packed? Hope you have a great trip.
