Somalia,92-93 43rd Engr Bn.(Ft.Benning,GA).Seen the world on construction missions for State Dept, DEA, MAAG assignments, and embassies. Alot of stories, some need censoring and to be declassified. Did not like being in the states that much, never knew how long you would be here. I could pick within a week when I was leaving overseas. Would suggest it to anyone. When I was in, some 30 years ago, a TOW gunner was classified as 11H. The E9 was ITV qualified. I went through my Basic at Benning. D-6-1. (Delta Dragons!)
Actually, my title was "Heavy Anti-Armor Weapons Crewman".

Originally 11 Bravo then as you progress,go to schools and get rank it changes...at my first discharge-11F4P..the "11" designator in the Army is Infantry--each "branch' has a primary identification... later as an officer I was 11 Alpha..with more identifiers...all Infantry officers are 11A's..Special Forces officers are 18 Alphas etc..Rangers get a "V" designator..not complicated
