I have seen clocks in them, bronzed and used for garden ornaments, use them for decoration in a country/cowboy themed room. Lucky you, I love my cowboy boots and wear them till i can't. Can any of them be resoled or fixed?

heh ND6! If I were you I'd find a cute cowboy to go with those dang boots! 
I've used old rain boots to use as planters for certain tall blooming bulbs like amaryllis. Start the bulbs rooting in a shallow dish with small stones and a small amount of water (the bulbs will need to sit on top of the stones with just a bit of the water constantly touching the end of the bulb), once the bulbs sprout some substantial roots, plant them in the potting soil inside the boot which you have lined with plastic and a good moss. Water when needed and in no time you'll have some pretty blooms to enjoy. These make nice gifts!

A country neighbor had old boots on fenceposts all along the roadside.. but I have seen them for planters..and birdhouses, sorta.. But I like the "Find a cowboy" idea the most!

yes they make wonderful planters.i have made many of them.first put a few holes in bottom of boot(with drill) then put gravel in the bottom for drainage, cut holes into the sides only big enough to get the roots of a trailing bright colored flower(tiny blooms look better)or plant on each side and in front(where ever you choose)put in potting soil up to holes ,plant flower ,more soil, next flower till you get to the top then plant a nice upright flower to top it off. beautiful and unique. every one will want one  I would show pic. but have not got that one figured out yet

OMG NO... DON'T HURT THEM
There are many collectors of old cowboy boots... You might have a pair worth several hundred dollars.
Before you do anything to them LOOK EACH ONE UP ON EBAY. I SOLD A PAIR ON EBAY I BOUGHT FOR $12.00 AND THEY SOLD FOR are you ready........... {drum roll please}........ $530.00
So before you plant plants in them, hang them on a fence post or bronze them. You better look and see what you have. PLEASE... I personally have not seen any artsy fartsy thing that looked better than the boots in their original state.
(sorry.. just my opinion.. that is shared my many)

If you find they aren't worth much in ebay, then sell them in yard sale. Or before you do that, get leather embroidery needles, and make your own design on them and sell them. If you can't find any designs, or don't know how to do embroidery, ask a friend. The next best thing is to try to look it up on the computer. I hope this helps you!

Other than the "Cowboy in the boots" idea which I liked............are they wearable? I would love to know. Love my cowboy boots..Would be willing to buy a pair or like the other poster.........get the entire box. How many pair are there and are sizes visible.
I used a very old pair as a planter.

I have a friend who made her husband and sons old cowboy boots into decorations for her bathroom. She got gold and bronze spray paint and dried flowers and it looks so neat.Saw it in a flower shop later on. LOL

I used to do a lot of cowboy cookouts. We took old worn out boots and made center pieces out of them. You can always change them up to fit the theme of the event.
Only your imagination will restrict their use.
