Problem with a debate is that it is competitive and someone is going to be the winner and the other is going to be the loser. It doesn't happen without a challenge. I do not know of anyone who wants to be challenged by someone who is supposed to be a mutual partner. I prefer to lay out the situation on the table then find a way that works which is best for everyone and keeps the same goal in mind....avoid any argument and save the emotions for good sex and love. Be happy!

I try to listen, and not put my thoughts into what they are expressing, after all everyone has a voice, and opinion. I also try to NOT let things build up to the point of a debate. As for walking out, no, thats a big no.And no need to raise the voice.
My favorite part, is the after debate ... well extra activities... the make up things the two can do together!!!! now there is a whole new topic.

The bottom line is to Fight Fair. Your partner is not always going to be persuaded to your position. Hopefully, you will agree on the Really Important Issues.
Pick Your Battles, and don't say anything you can't take back.
