Are you a true winter person who can't help but find any excuse to enjoy the outdoors? Do you just bear with it? Or are you one who won't venture out unless absolutely necessary? How are you spending your winter, any special plans?
Me, I'm aiming to get in a ton of ice fishing, mostly in heated huts (brave enough to head out, but not sit outside in the wind!). Want to get back into snowmobiling as well, but that won't happen until next year unless 6/49 has a surprise waiting for me!

15 below again this morning, furnace decided to take a vacation! Before the service guy can get here I've got to get the driveway cleared. Maybe 6/49 will come through for a new snowblower (ha ha), takes 3.5 hours with the one that's here now. Had to "plow" my car through a drift coming in from work yesterday, now it's a huge mountain thanks to the highway plows! And here I'd hoped to go fishing today...
Let's have some fun with this guys & gals - how are you greeting or hiding from this wonderful season called winter?

Good afternoon fellow Ontarian....

Having a bit of a warm spell here today....Was sitting at a balmy -36 when I got up this morning....

I haven't been able to get out ice fishing this year and it looks like it will be spring time before I get to...So it has been a bunch of hibernating and looking at Ice Shacks on the internet....

Hi Saphiina;
You do have it colder way up there! We almost hit that -36 with the windchill in this area. I've had to enjoy yet another 1/2 day with the snowblower since my last post. Furnace finally got fixed yesterday, that's 3 days I had to stay home & wait for the service guys while work piled up! Between work & snow removal I'm starting to wonder about getting some fishing done myself! Season is really gearing up here now, many lakes opening for limited species for the first time in 90 years or so in the Kawarthas.
Let me know if you do get out fishing and I'll do the same!
And surely there's more than 2 of us in this rather large province...?
