See thats the thing, i dont mind dating a person but if they say anything offensive towards my race im out. Ive been on a date with a few black people and I didn't like how they talked. That sounds mean but I'm in college and I want someone well educated. I don't wanna date someone who thinks they are from 'da hood.' Not every black man is like this, i admit. Its just a matter of finding someone who im comfortable with.

I find being in 'da hood' and talking ghetto so unattractive. I'm getting my BS degree in speech and hearing science so it makes me wanna correct it. Dating someone like that would annoy me. haha I've never really been with anyone else who wasnt white. I'm into white skater guys or guys with semi long hair. I'm a freak, I know haha. Even though that is my so called "type" i dont mind dating other ethnicities if they represent themselves well.

I live in mormonville.... utah haha. The majority is white. I have met white guys who think they are from 'da hood.' I go to college so there is much more diversity like Asians cause of the study abroad stuff. I've seen like 10 East Indian people since I have been there (2 years).

I wish it didn't but if you think about it, imagine an oddball like me in family of all-white, or the other way around ! Some people are understanding and open but can't expect that from everyone. Not yet. And it's not just about you and your being accepted, after that it's the families that need to be comfy with each other.

I guess I feel ethnicity doesn't matter between two people, but it's just so much easier when family looks like, well, family.

Sweetie we are in the same boat. It's sad to say but some people don't think like we do. They see color, we don't. But we have to understand that acceptability with family and friends exist too. But if they want to loose something great then thats on them. We are beautiful brown women and good ones at that. Don't trip over it we're going to find that special one who doesn't see color like us.

Yes mine does. Especially most other ethnic groups would disown their daughter or son if they dating a black person.

I personally don't think it matters. But some cultures just don't mix mostly because of closed minded people. U should also take into consideration it might not be the person your interested in that has a problem with ethnicity but his or her family just may. A sad truth. Sorry for posting a long post. Lol!

But some races ( like other physical attributes such as body type or hairstyle ) can be more physically attractive than others. For example, although there are a few exceptions. I'm usually not attracted to Asian men.

LoI! Then the problem would be said person being closed minded. U being adopted into a white family still won't make people look at your race differently. That's just how some people and there families are. I have delt with said issue myself in the past.

That statement doesn't make her racist. She simply stated that she isn't attracted to Asians. Just like some men aren't attracted to me because they like blondes or larger women. It is simply of matter of physical taste.

It has not gotten better. A while back I met a back woman on here she was up in arms because on he phone she said I sounded too white and had a hard believing that I was really black, that of course is reverse racism.

No... race, etchnic backgrounds don't matter.

There are many beautiful people out there from different races. I was born here, and won't say where and all, but I'm more "international" than I am American. Tha'ts just because of the culture (community) I was brought up and also has been a part of my whole life to some degree.

Indian people are very beautiful. I respect and love that culture very much, especially the Tibetan culture, and Ethiopians. They have a beauty about them - the people as a whole... that is very spiritual and very beautiful.
