I know this is a hard question for most, but do you know what you want in life?
Ill start. As time went on, I got past so many trivial things, likes and dislikes. Eventually I came down to the realization that everything in life boils down to experience. Yes I have things I feel strongly about, but not enough to hurt others. I have goals in life. Over time I have tried to stop things from holding me back and do what I want to do. Maybe I will be more specific later, but the point is, if you don't know what you want in life, how do you know what you want in a relationship?
What if you find that special someone and you realize that it is holding you back from fulfilling your life dream? How would you handle that? Let me know.

i knew what i wanted very yong in life and at the age of 12 i rented this ranch but now ownit i also wanted a wife but she didnt have the same gpoals as i did so now i have the ranch and lookn for the right girl to accent it

Well I thought I did.. I had a good start with my first marraige.. Technically all I wanted was to live happily ever after(with work and unconditional love) with a mate that was FireProof! Trying to live God's will! My only lifes dream is to be a great daughter, Mom and grandma if I am to be so lucky.. And if God answers my prayers with a Yes.. get to be a mate to an honest, understanding, family oriented man again. I dont see how I could find someone special... that would hold me back from that life dream. The two dont fit in the same sentance.

It would be nice to have someone to share life with, but I know I don't need someone else to make me happy. I have no axes to grind, no ultimate goals (I think it is great people want to climb the highest mountain, or sail solo around the world), I just dont have anyone dream that drives me.
So to answer the question, I do not know what I want in life, other then a lady to share all the beauty and adventures life has to offer.

yes I know what I want in life since as far back as I can remember. The problem is just like the rest of the people on here. Getting what you want is what the struggle is all about and too many have died trying. So at this age and stage of the game why should I concern myself with dreams. Trix are for Kids.

I had what I wanted and did not realize it until after he died. Perhaps there is only one chance to be with the one you are meant to be with, but there is no one that will hold me back from getting anything except myself. How could anyone else be blamed for your own actions???
There is always a way to get what you need if you realize what you want is not usually what you might need. If you are alive, you most likely already have everything you need.

I know what I want in life -- if someone is "special" to me, I will find a way to be happy no matter what. Life is short and choices form your life. How can anyone say their special person is "holding them back from ..." ? Sounds like someone is just trying to blame someone else for their own feelings or that other person is really not that special.
