Hey it's my new friend! The movies (the 80's version and the 2001 Bloodlust) were good... well the 80's one was good, Bloodlust was fricken awesome.

ANYTHING is better than Twilight. If I want to see a movie or read a book about sparkly people who prance about in the woods being moody, I'll watch Peter Pan.

I haven't read Vampire Hunter D, but maybe I should borrow it from my friend. Right now, for me, Charlaine Harris is where it's at. My source for werewolves is Patricia Briggs though.

Quite frankly Twilight Raped the Charm and Dark allure of vampires.
Sparkily Vamps and some pathetic emo girl who falls for him....
You Can't Beat the Classics. Bram Stoker's Dracula was better.
And then there was Anne Rice. Much better reads

Our library is carrying them in the graphic novels section
and I saw something called vampire high school an anime also.
the japanese storys are bit different than the Bram Stoker style.
anyone see Dracula by Brian De Palma?

FYI: Vampire Hunter D was a novel written by Hideyuki Kikuchi and published in 1983 (the movie, based on the book, came out in 1985.) There is a total of 21 Vampire Hunter D novels in the series.
Although the first official English translation of book 1 wasn't published until 2005 by Dark Horse.
While the manga and comics based off the original stories just came out a few years ago.
