I got my 1st cross stich kit at the tender age of 13 an have been hooked ever since. I've lost count on how many I've done over the years. I've given them as Bday, anniversary, Xmas, etc gifts. I've got tons in a bag in the closet awaitin framin. It's a wonderful stress release for me. I've had to limit myself to 14ct fabric now as my eyesight ain't what it used to be. LOL I've got quite the collection of books. I've got a pattern for purty much every occassion.

I do cross stitch.I use 10 and 12 point canvas...I only do abstract and geometric designs.I make my own patterns...

I love to cross-stitch. I haven't been able to do it for a while though because my son likes to 'help' and it's not a pretty sight. Lol.

I do counted cross-stitch. I find it very relaxing and I like the challenge though frustrating at times.

I also enjoy/enjoyed cross-stitching. Over the years I have made several ornaments for my Christmas tree. Since my manual dexterity and vision have faded with time, I don't do it as often as I'd like to.
I will get back in the swing of it soon~ where there's a will, there's a way.

Yes love it. Have file cabinets full of patterns and oodles of kits been collecting for years. Can't wait for Christmas day; got an Ott light to make the sewing less stress on my eyes.

I've done cross stitch since the 1970s. Started out with stamped but graduated to counted cross stitch several years later. I mostly work with 14 ct Aida cloth. Haven't gotten up my nerve to work with linen as yet, although it looks beautiful when done. I need something "easy."
I'm in a burn-out stage right now, however. I have a gorgeous piece I've been working on for the last two years. It is a head shot of Secretariat. It's about 25% done. I know...I'm lazy! I will finish it!! (famous last words). I have many projects awaiting me, including a recent purchase of a head shot of Zenyatta, the famous race horse mare who recently retired.
Has anybody purchased the DIY software? I think it's called ProStitch 9.0. I have it but haven't figured it out yet.
It's good to hear many of us like to do this, including the guys! Hooray for you!
