I have been going to Zumba 3days a week since April and I've only lost 2lbs. I don't understand it. I drink water, eat wheat bread, don't snack throughout the day, don't eat sugary stuff, and still don't lose weight. I've had my thyroid levels checked along with cholesterol and all that stuff and everything is within normal ranges so I don't understand it. I'm just tired of it. I've been heavy since I was a child and my mom says I've always eaten healthier than my sisters yet I'm the biggest.
You could try to cut out the bread and do low carb, it works for me. With low carb the body will start to burn fat instead of carbs. With protein it will help build muscles and burn more calories. There is a website with different recipes yourlighterside.com.

You truly want to work out we need to work out hard. 30-45 mins of cardio eat clean too. You can lose 15 pounds a month if you truly feeling not make excuses. If you truly want to lose weight it's a lifestyle not a hobby. But everyone is different. I burn 1800-2600 calories in just a workout but I workout up to 4 hours a day and that endurance training sometimes 2x a day. You have to see how bad you want it and go from there if you want it bad enough you'll find a way to get it.

I am, and doing a good job. I've lost 49.6 lbs since March. I thought that if there are others who are working on their weight loss we could do a weekly weigh in. It'll help keep us motivated if we have that weekly pat on the back.
50 pounds on 7 months is NOT do impressive... I mean I know people
That lose at least 15 pounds a month because are dedicated. What you just said is really not impressive since you been working on it since March.

Im trying to tighten an tone!! Hip hop abs is a great work out and its fun..So is a zumba class..I think it's Great that there are so many of us who are trying to be healthy ..Good Luck Guys

Today is day 8 of my workout streak. My goal is to form a habit. They say it takes 21 days to do so. So 21 days straight of going to the gym. Might not do a HARD workout every day, but just go, and do something for 30 minutes.

I think I've been on the scale twice in the last 6 months. Once at the doctors and once just to see if the batteries in the one at home were even still good.

I gained weight june 2012-in a month time plumped out.Could not understand why?Tried to exercise it off but was going no where.And I am not normally a heavy person-unless I am pregnant.Then I went to the health food store over an infection in my belly button,I tried all sorts of medication to clear it up.Nothing worked Then the person advised me to take some flora probiotics and gave me this web page www.thecandidadiet.com- so i did adjust my diet-picked my favorite veggys from the foods to eat list on web page.and took the probiotics-And web page has a lot of good information.And then I remembered more details of Over active yeast-so my weight gain was not fat gain but over active yeast-from a low immunity system and to much sugar items in my diet-I started in November 2013-lost over 20lbs in first month sitting on my but.I did not exercise for my muscles were very soar and did not feel good.required many trips to the rest room.But it works.So to date 01-20-14-I have lost close to 40lbs.I am at 159lbs now.and still have close to 20lbs more to loose,getting over active yeast out of my system.I do believe I did also avoid Gallbladder surgery,past a few Gallstones.So now I am at a point to get some exercise.and build muscle and tighten skin.

I was 220lb I Recently lost 20lbs in 2 months. I didn't workout or increase my physical activities at all. All I did was give up pop, juice, chips, rice, noodles & bread. My cereal of choice is Cheerios. Imagine the weight loss when weather warms up and I'm more active.

I am but I can't figure crap out sometimes at the gym. I ain't even going to lie. Well, anyways, my friends and I have started documenting our weight loss so if anyone is interested then please check us out on youtube. It's called 'Whales vs. Scales' and please, please give us some advice when working out at the gym because I think we are freaking lost, dude!! All advice will be greatly appreciated. what kind of advice do you seek?
saying you are "lost" at the gym doesn't mean much. does it mean you don't have motivation? does it mean you don't know how to work the machines? does it mean you don't know how to do the exercises?
please be specific.
what i want to know, is if you're making a youtube production, yet don't know how to work out, why you haven't reached out to someone at the gym. even the 24/7 gyms usually have staffed hours or trainers available you can make appointments with

I have been on this "Weight Loss" journey for years, Gym daily, watching what I eat (My biggest mistake is getting depressed cause I am not loosing and not eat, I know I know not good) but now I just take it day to day. I have learned that it is not a diet I seek, but a life style change. I hope one day to be back to where I was before my kids and I know I will get there. Just have to figure out what is right for me to do it.

I never put a weight on my goals. It was never lose 5 pounds or weight 130 pounds. It was to fit into my jeans without such yucky love handles and to be able to run 10 miles again without stopping. Those goals are less "concrete" but nonetheless very solid ones to work towards if that makes sense.
