String, I feel the same way you do. I love to discuss awareness. It is one of my favorite topics. Life is situational, we only have the moment. So I have allowed myself to focus on becoming aware. As you only have the moment, each situation contains its own answer.
There have been lots of advances in the study of the four types of brain waves, and what combinations are the most productive. Essentially it is being able to be in a meditative state and have the capacity for thought at the same time. This would in essence seem to create an impartial observer.

Hi there Im Nick. All I can say is it's about time there was a pagan group on here. I myself practice celtic druidry. Im still learning everyday. im still learning the bardic skills. ive been pagan for going on 7yrs,but started druidry in nov of 07. theres just a wee bit about me at any rate its nice to meet all of you.
