In 2008, intelligence researcher Helmuth Nyborg examined whether IQ relates to denomination and income, using representative data from the National Longitudinal Study of Youth. His results demonstrated that on average, Atheists scored 1.95 IQ points higher than Agnostics, 3.82 points higher than Liberal persuasions, and 5.89 IQ points higher than Dogmatic persuasions.

I saw an interesting billboard that reads: The BIBLE says the world ends on march 21, 2011. Prepare yourself. Repent, etc. bullshit etc.....
So, I figure to go charge thousands of dollars for all the things I've wanted but couldn't afford since they'll be no one around to send me the bills, and I'll go out happy!! And then I'll just point out their lack of any credibility again, when we all wake up on the 22nd.

the idea of predicting is bullshit as is the idea of such an end.
I do NOT believe, I am no longer sceptical, I totally do not believe, not even a sceptic after the observations.
That is why the religious references were in quotes.

Such shear stupidity.
The world will end when the sun expands and engulfs this planet.
The only other way it would end is if a black hole formed close to our solar system and sucked it all in, a meteorite slammed into earth ending life, or an all out nuclear war took place and everyone was annihilated.

my idea is the earth will end when all the christians have all "gone forth and multiplyed " till the earth can no longer support the population or when the bbl thumpers and the muslums all wage all out holy war and kill all human kind and lay waste to this planet
BTW all of us godless are infidels to both sides and prime targets to both sides

I think I am, kinkaju...I do. I firmly believe education and the different means of information -little by little- will make people realize that religion(s) is a bunch of lies...a tool to subjugate...to enslave.

I do agree that education is the key to sanity but my view is less than optomistic due to the fact that we even if you include agnostics only count for 20 percent of the world
(figures only estimated not actual fact) we are vastly outnumbered and also look at history we have not made a lot of headway in the past other than Madaline Murry
To quote someone I met in southeast asia in the 60s "we are out-gunned in an undefencible position and we are understaffed "
like I said before I hope you are right ,but I have my doubts I would love to be wrong
BTW the ecologic clock is ticking
