I don't think that they give a shit Teren. It is pretty obvious.
These are the guys who think that they can live life like a f*cking frat party that someone else will clean up after. Make a mess and walk away blithely....like every fat person at every buffet around the world. "Some one else will clean it up.....It is thier job to deal with it.......It don't effect me"
They are completely right......it will effect thier children far beyond our generations. But, ignorance is bliss....and there are alot of happy mother f*ckers out there. I just wish I was as border line retarded....it would make my life much easier!

terentius : Maybe if we weren’t inundated with error riddled movies and misinformation spread by people with their own agendas we might be able to come together some day and make some decisions based on real science. I heard an interview by the guy that started the weather channel a while back “a real weather scientist by the way” and he was saying that many of his peers opinions were being squelched and silenced by some in their own community as well as by groups with agendas. Get with the program or loose your livelihood. He spoke of many scientists that were grouped together by the UN as supporters of some of these theories when in fact they were not and after the fact asked that their names be withdrawn form the list. His point was that there is too much junk science out there right now that needs real objective and unobstructed review.

Fifi: he also said: There is no sin except stupidity.
The standard wisdom of the 'politically correct' environmentalists is that global warming would result in more hurricanes with higher intensity. Of course, for the past two years that prediction has totally missed the mark.
The result has been a devastating drought that has brought severe water shortages in the southeastern and southern states.
The obvious question that arises to the surface in the midst of these embarrassing erroneous predictions is, if forecasters can't accurately predict a hurricane season a couple of months prior to June, then how can they be trusted to predict the future climate of the planet years or decades from now?
One more nail in the coffin of the environmental alarmists is the latest NASA satellite imagery from space, which shows that the ozone hole over Antarctica has almost returned to normal. This means that the planet has been basically healing itself of the destructive effects of ozone over the Antarctic region.

The propaganda machine is hard at work attempting to indoctrinate the young that mankind is responsible for global warming and that the carbon we put in the air causes temps to rise.
Hard science, i.e., the study of actual verifiable data, shows otherwise.
Scientists who look at the facts and let the facts dictate their policy proposals, rather than allowing their policy bias to dictate how they view science, state that a rise in carbon is a direct RESULT of rising temperatures and NOT the CAUSE of it.
This fact is proved in the geological record. During those periods of the earth's history when the planet has been at its warmest, the presence of carbon dioxide is at very high levels. Yet this was long before current lifeforms were even on the planet. There were no man-made emissions going into the atmosphere to cause such a rise in carbon.
Long after Man appeared on the earth, during those cyclical periods when the temperatures rose significantly, we also see a rise in the amount of carbon. Yet these periods in human history pre-date the industrial era. Once again, there were no man-made emissions going into the atmosphere.
Thus, the observable data proves that rising temperatures cause a concomitant rise in carbon. There is to date NO valid historical scientific data that remotely suggests that a rise in carbon creates a rise in temperatures.
The 'consensus scientists,' therefore, have it exactly backwards

He also said "All women end up like thier mother" that is thier tragedy. "No man does, that is his tragedy".
Yes, If we reduce harmful CFCs nature will repair itself by 2065. So for those who will be dead by then, carry on abusing the environment.

Before Galileo, over 90% of the educated world at that time clearly did not subscribe to the theory that led him to discover truths that changed all we know about the world.
Posters who point to why they doubt global warming is taking place are labeled as a dangerous subversive closely akin to Holocaust deniers.
Just because some of us question Al Bore's movie, and believe there is no global warming, we are told we are not concerned about our enviroment. This is false.
When the environment changes, climatic conditions also change. When they change dramatically, the economy and many other things change as well. Even our physical health is greatly affected. So this is not merely a moral question but also a question of our own survival.
The abuse of the environment, which has resulted in such harm to the human community, arose out of ignorance of the importance of the environment.

i think part of the problem is that those who have issues with al gore act like hes the only one who is worried about global warming. so, if i hate al gore and he is concerned about global warming, then if i dont want global warming then it means i love al gore.
so the worse off we are, the more it shows we hate al gore!
did anyone else hear the phrase, "cutting off ur own nose to spite ur face"?

Seems like the methane from the manure on DH could cause a degree or 2 of global warming on it's own
I suppose the ice caps on Mars shrinking is our fault too

We need to all make compromises when it comes to conserving energy. Compromise is the key word. I'm not blaming any one. Are u crazy or what.
There are people here who are far too defensive. I ask a simple question and I'm jumped on for doing so.

I don't want people thinking I'm against conservation and reducing pollution of all kinds. My reasons for reducing oil consumption are more political than anything else.
I used to work on a wind farm and I know the technology exists with wind and solar to reduce coal burning to almost nothing and using heavy water or air cooled reactors would make nuclear much safer.

Well, let's look at this logically, and see what we disagree about. Which of these statements is wrong?
1. Humans are burning a lot of fossil fuels, which releases carbon into the atmosphere at large rates. We know what those rates are, because we know how much oil and coal and natural gas are produced each year. Deforestation is also occurring at a measurable rate It adds up to 36.7 billion tons per year.
2. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is also increasing, by 16.3 billions of tons per year. This has also been measured. The difference, 20.4 billion tons, is mostly dissolved in the ocean. Concentrations of CO2 in the ocean have also been measured to be rising. (The amount of CO2 reabsorbed by the ocean is not rising as fast as CO2 emissions. It seems like the ocean might be getting saturated.)
3. CO2 is known to absorb heat energy of certain wavelengths that radiate through the nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere. Therefore, we would expect some warming to be taking place -- the greenhouse effect.
4. The average temperature for most of the earth has risen, but only slightly, about 0.7 degrees over the last 30 years. This change is small, perhaps not enough to constitute proof. However, the temperature increase is much larger at the poles, as the temperature at the poles is more affected by the atmosphere. (Elsewhere it is moderated by the land and oceans.) In the Arctic Ocean, the measured increase is about 4 degrees.
5. Solar energy does vary over time, but it has also been monitored during this period, and it has not increased by any measurable amount.
6. The ice at the poles has been diminishing sharply. This decrease has happened in the last 30 years. The ice on the Arctic Ocean is at the lowest level in several thousand years.
Taken together, these six statements show that global warming is real and human caused. Climate change skeptics may argue with one or another of the six, but they don't have any agreement among themselves as to which of these statements is wrong.
So where is the hole in the argument?
