Hi everyone!!
I'm thinking we should have some organization in our talk....like how maybe we could start a thread of what's happening in Manitoba or some other information that we 'singles' might be interested in. I know that I would not go out of my way to read through a site where people are just saying hi, or complaining about something. (Someone always finds something to complain about....and before you get on me about not pic, I honestly do not have one, but I am working on it....and so what if I don't have one).
Just a suggestion, take it or leave it. Someone else may have some suggestions on things we could discuss that are pertinent to single Manitobans.

anyone checked out the ethiopian restaurant 'massawa' in osborne village? food is very savory and so not like indian/thai curry. the wait is long but lots of chance to talk etc. great place for a date. you need to eat with your hands so it breaks the ice very quickly.
any other good dating places?

Hello “mycatmoe” No I have not tried out the Ethiopian restaurant 'Massawa'. But I have tried out a Chinese restaurant recently that carts around various pork and seafood dishes to the tables. They ask if you want and then you try. I must say it was quite tasty. The Kum Koon Garden Restaurant. The only thing that I did not like was the absence of chicken or beef on the menu.

The style of Chinese dining you're talking about is called "Dim Sum"--it's like smörgåsbord in reverse. A friend took me to a restaurant in Chinatown for the Sunday menu; it was an interesting experience..all the more so because there was no cutlery on the table, only chopsticks.

Yes the chopsticks were a challenge.
I finally gave up and asked for a fork. Once I had that things seem to go down quite good.
I think one of my favourites was the sweet pork pie. The one with the caramel topping.

Hi everyone!! Glad to see more people chatting in here...a walk at the forks sounds like a great idea. I have heard of another group that meets at a downtown bar and they have a mark on their wrist so they are recognizable as a member of their group. I thought that was a fantastic idea. So why not combine the two and have a walk at the forks where members out a 'say a red dot on their left hand' or something similar. Or, coffee at maybe somewhere like Portage Place, with the same idea of having a mark and then meeting the different members....same sort of idea as the speed dating theme...but we move when everyone wants...or we could all sit in the same area and pull our tables together and have a good chat..
Just a few ideas...maybe one or two or a combination of one or two might be something we could try....if we can get enough members....not a lot of people seem to be sharing on this forum.....hopefully we can get more!

Hello All,
I just found this spot for Manitobans. Great stuff! Here2talk2u - sorry I don't have a picture, but my computer is in the technician's shop. No pics on my kids tower.
What is really  though I found here is the number of replies and contacts I have received and there is not picture!!! I am not sure what that is all about and they are all from Manitoba!! Life is fun on this site. I like it much better than POF!
Anyways, it sure is nice to say hello to all my friendly Manitobans!!
