No one ever really likes the state that they grew up in. I must say that when you tell people you are from CT they tend to look at you and treat you like you are from another planet. It's strange, but I like CT I grew up here. I did however move to OK for a year and I loved it there, I actually want to go back. But no matter what I'm always proud to tell people I'm from CT no matter what reactions I get. Ohh, one reaction I tend to get is when I say you are from CT people treat me like I'm going to act like I'm better than them, which I don't get. Actually I blame movies and t.v. for that like Stepford Wives (the remake), and all those sitcoms that take place in the city. It's always I'm going to CT for the weekend, or when they show people they are always dressed like they fell out of a J.Crew catalog or something like that. Anyway, if you moved here and hate it than leave, but if you grew up here and hate it just remember everyone else in the country is jealous of you because they think our state is gorgeous.

I Love Ct....I Hate Snow... I am not too fond of tornados,hurricanes,nor sand storms ...so I will live in Ct. The people here are great. I really haven't been around any snobs. Even when my son played ice hockey and we spent alot of time in the Greenwich , Westport area or all the private richy rich schools ...People are just people ..If you treat them with kindness and respect I believe that is what you will get in return. Now I also love the beautiful blue seas and the magic of the waves...so at any given moment I could easily learn to say ....I Love BERMUDA....lol Have a great day

CT is a very lovely state!! I'm one of those rare people that treat others the way I want to be treated - with kindness and consideration. I deal with a lot of A-holes in Waterbury and on the highway. When I am on the highway and there is traffic merging in, I always move over to let them in. But do they do the same for me? NO! But I rant to myself and ignore them. The prices are high here just like anywhere else. Yes, I do want to get out of CT, my problem is I can't afford to save the money to move!!! It's like being on welfare, they give you just enough to get by but not enough to help you make a difference. It's sink or swim!! I've learned to swim!! Someday my prince will come and take me away from here - but in the meantime, I will enjoy this state. Love it here because of the four seasons.

I like ct... but i think its a little cold... but i love the seasons so i don't think i'll leave. maybe upstate ny.. but thats the only other NE state i'd go to.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell him but NY isn't a New England State! There are only 6 New England States ME, NH, VT, MA CT and RI..........Unless it changed?......... Sorry didn't mean to sound like a smart Azz.......
