I am letting my ex bf stay with me is that wrong? We were gonna try and work things out but i dont think it will work... I still care alot about him and everything its just i will never be able to trust him again... What should i do?

I think that is a choice that you need to make. If you both are over the relationship and are ready to move on I don't see it being a problem, but if he or yourself still have feelings there will not be closure unless you are seperated. JMO

Have you passed any litmuses yet?
1st. Sleep in different rooms/beds
2nd. Stopped having sex with each other
3rd. Dated other people
4th. Slept with other people
5th. Slept with other people while your ex is in the same house
If you've BOTH passed those without an incident whatsoever then it would be ok. If not then listen to Snake below, lol

I have set bounderies... he sleeps on the couch and i sleep in the bedroom. We made the agreement that we wont sleep with other people since it would be to hard on each other along with dating but i havent told him that i dont think us getting back together is gonna work so i am so confused....

The answer is yes.
Sounds like niether of you will be allowed to get on with your lives until he is out.
What if you meet a great guy but, can't go out with him because your ex is involved? You are shooting yourself in the foot!

You may have set physical boundaries but the emotional ties exist. You really need to have closure and move on for both of your sakes and sanity.

Its one thing if you are letting him sleep on the couch while he tries to get his own place but You need to get him out ASAP. If its not a place where he can have his own room and ya'll can move to the point of seeing other people and just being friends then get rid of him. The longer you procrastinate the harder it will be. Dont let him sleep on the couch thinking that you guys are going to work on it if you aren't, it will only make him drag his feet keeping false hope alive and it will come back on you probally in a knock down drag out that may ruin any future friendship you two could have. Either take him back or break it off and tell him he needs to find a place. Im not saying kick him out in the cold but make him aware that he needs to find his own place asap or he will be in the cold.

Well, i think u still want him , may be subconsciously, and that's the reason why u'd allow him to live with u in the first place. My advise to u is that u be true to urself and see if this leaving arrangement really is the best decision. Apparently, u seem not to think getting back together will work, so if u ask me, i'd say u guys will be better off going your separate ways.

I actually just experienced this. We broke up after 12 years, lots of tears and hurt but I couldnt just throw him out on the street (call me crazy my family did) so we lived together as roommates from 10/07 until 2/08. He stayed here in the other bedroom during the week and my only request was that he left on weekends. Believe me I had my moments of crying and losing it but in the end it was good. If he had walked out that first night I would have been a bitter woman, but with him staying here it let me heal. We were super good friends before we started dating and now we're still good friends. Love him to death but am not in love with him anymore. So every person is different in how they handle their situations. You do what's best for you and in the end you come out a better person.

 Sweethart i am living with my ex now for about six months and we get on better now than we did for 22 years, we are just good mates dont do sex we go out on our own do your thing and its great, we just dont pring woman or men home.Its working for me.
