yousmile: i see how you feel about living in the same city as players that made the majors--where i grew up players rented homes where i lived including Mickey mantle and he once visited my grammar school but i was only in kindergarten but he was my first baseball hero growing up--today my mother still lives there and many players still rent homes in that town...

chucky: great story and i played several sports but baseball is one that i always loved because at times it's 9 guys against a guy at bat--on offense--I pitched and played 1st base when i didn't pitch and hit well but with today's ML rules of the DH i may have wished to play in the NL for sure...

joesmom: you must have had a great hubby--and sometimes things are not fair but you sounded like a great wife for sure as it should be about the kids and you had it covered-I did see the all star game and the new park is just gorgious but right hand hitters have it tough hitting HRs there---Giants have a long road ahead of them but have great pitching and need some hitters

Yeah, I know they have a long way to go, but I like to watch no matter which way it goes.
And who knows, it could happen..........

Do your kids or grandkids collect them today for hobbies??? Share the meemories--
