welcome home soldier, as an ex army man myself, i have been there and had my share of dear john letters in the past from overseas. its hard for a woman to wait on us especially at a young age when her hormones are raging. my advice is to just get single bro, enjoy yourself until you are stateside for good with a comfy home post. then find a good girl to settle down with. its bad enough over there without worrying whether or not your wifes being a wh*re. her punishment should be to be deployed over there while your home and see how she likes it. my heart goes out to you bro. just forget the tramp and get your job done. theres more important things like stayin alive , then worryin about someone as selfish as that. sgt. martin...ranger out

I agree with Katie on this one. Gals actively seek out military guys for a free payday because of the way the military is.
It was hard way back when I was in to keep a marriage together but today I can say it's probably damn near impossible. Both the soldier and his spouse has to be very strong in order to cope.

Let me also thank you for your service to this country. I have great respect for all you brave men and women overseas.
It is sad this happen to you, but I agree with those above, better now than later.
Now you know the stuff she is made of. Give it time to get over the hurt, and be careful who you hook up with next... You have a long wonderful life ahead of you, and I wish you well....

OMG...that is so horrible!!! I am soooo sorry that happened to you..you are young and life will move on for you and eventually you will find the RIGHT woman for you that would never stray from your side no matter what the circumstances are.

OMG!!!!! I am so sorry she did that to you especially while u are serving our country. That sucks but I hear it's pretty common. SHAME ON THESE WOMEN AND MEN WHO DO THIS THEIR THEIR SPOUSE AT THIS TIME!!!!!

I still have my bags packed. No need to unpack. She moved out today and it was bad. She was cursing me and telling me what a bad person I am. I did nothing to her. All she wanted was a home to live in and me to pay for her school and car. I guess i am better off without her. Now I know what kind of person she really is. She said she is going to join the army??!!! I seriously doubt she will make it cause of her attitude. She hates authority thats why she was fired from her last two jobs. Oh well. Thank you everyone for your support. It is still very hard to come home to an empty house. She took most of everything. It is not worth fighting for. She brought the worst out in me and I need to focus on my job. Getting planes off the ground. I love my job and it is very rewarding to know that my planes are getting the supplies to the troops downrange. I just hate seeing my fellow soldiers get off one of my planes all shot up. All of this is taking such a huge toll on me. I am doing a lot of praying right now.

You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders, young man. Hang in there! I had the "Dear John" while in tech school(AF) way back when. It hurt, but I can't imagine your pain. Take care of yourself and good luck!

That is terrible.
My ex fiancé was killed on his second deployment and I was devastated. I don’t mean to be disrespectful but any woman who would do that to a solider... words cannot even describe what I feel should happen to her. I don’t really know how to express my feeling on the situation. You deserve devotion, love, respect, and a woman who is forever grateful. Try not to be disheartened. I told my Matthew that not only did he have my love and support, he had our country’s. When you’re over there and you miss her just know we miss you so much more and can’t wait for your safe return. God is watching you and everything will work out for you.

Exactly, I am just happy i only gave her 3 years of my life and love. I tried my hardest to make this work but she just cannot see past the point that she cheated on me! She needs to own up to her actions and take responsibility for all of this. I would be loving her right now if she did not sleep around. She was always very abusive anyway. one example, she ran me over with my own truck and broke my foot. She was just mad cause I wanted to take my truck to work and not my motorcycle. haha
