Thought I'd start a new topic,Places you love best in B.C.,could be anywhere.One of my faves is the historic Yale hotel on Granville in Vancouver.All the best blues that come from the states and all over Canada come to the Yale.The dives have the best music!

i grew up there.. when Stanley park was at it's best. The zoo was awesome especially the polar bears. We'd go all through it over and over .. the snakes the birds, monkeys, the always favorite otters. There were squirrels everywhere and peac*cks roamed the grounds freely. All buses were trolley's then and we'd take it to the park to our swimming lessons at 2nd beach.If you drove a car parking was free.
It's changed at lot over the years.
I was lucky enough to go on an overnight fieldtrip with my son's class to the aquarium. They showed us all the back rooms full of equipment to care and feed the various species.
We slept outside the whale tanks and woke up to the Orca's singing to us.
Shortly after that... they were gone.

I tend to like the Commercial Drive area. Lots of music and a real variety of relatively inexpensive places to eat.
