I apologize for some that have been rude,and as for your question. You do what you can live with. If you can live with going back and forth,on and off then take another stab at it . If you are tired of it then move forward and stop looking back . Before you end it remember back to the times you were lonely and missed him did it hurt as much as what living with him does?

steph..you are going to do what you wanna anyways...you are 23 and the people who are trying to advise you are much older and have been through the rigors of many past relationships..my only piece of advise is this.....once out, stay out. Move on and forget about him, you are very young and naive yet, and that is not an insult, only the truth. So having said all this....what are you going to do? Can i give u the answer before you do?

Well he tells everybody that he loves me and wants to be with me, but my b*tching at him all the time has to stop. He treats me really good and I just feel I am the reason. I do have a problem with b*tching at him all the time. Most of the time it is for a good reason. HE just says he can't do it no more. That I need to move on so he can get over me. You will have to decide what abuse is and it is not about abuse but control. You never want to be around a persone that is controlling. If you do you will loose every time. You just don't dialouge with a controller. Don't stay around them so they can maintain some control. You will have to come to a point were you forgive him and never allow him or anyone else to control you any more. Cotrol destroys your self worth and you are unable to be the person you were ment to be. You need to make wise decisions and take control of your life, become the person you really are, and move on.
