I've never understood this whole issue and why women make such a big deal about it. You never hear guys making an issue about it, only women. Is it really that hard to do yourself? Ladies, do you know how incredibly lazy you sound when you complain about this?

Somebody else made a comment about why we couldn't just put the seat down for ourselves, seeing how you guys have to lift it back up after We get done. So for the past couple weeks I have been making an effort to pick the seat pack up after I'm done with it. I doubt if anyone will notice though.
The reason why we freak out is because we just usually waltz into the bathroom, sometimes in the dark and sit down-KERSPLASH!!

Can I pose another question? Why do toilets come with lids?
Regardless of it being a man or woman, why not just use the toilet as it's meant to be used...open when in use...closed when not. Either sex can surely just return it to the way it was and put the lid down right? No one has to do any extra work

Because most men pee standing up and sprinkle the the rim so putting the lid down is nice. Leaving the lid up drives me insane, because I do not always turn the light on and most often I hold till I can't hold any more, and I am in too much of a rush to look. Gross me out, unsanitary! Germs! Honestly, do you want a germy puss?

OK Drum:
It is an issue for me.
I’m a man and I dislike leaving the seat up if for no other reason than courtesy.
In fact, I sit to pee if the environment is clean and always lower the seat when finished if the place is not clean. I live on a sailboat and always request gentlemen to sit (picture a moving target here) and never leave the seat up.
There is not a man can pee in a water bowl and NOT splash! And how many of you leave the mess for someone else to clean?
Experience: Shared an apartment.... usually got up once a night to adjust comfort.... rarely turned lights on... butt thoroughly wet before I could recover... room-mate didn’t get much sleep the rest of that night! Neighbors probably weren’t too pleased either....

Oh boy. Yeah, guys should start sitting down to pee like a woman all because you ladies are too lazy to turn the light on and put the seat down yourself.
I used to have a female roommate. When I first moved in where I'm living now, the first thing she ever said to me was "Can you make sure the toilet seat is down?" No joke, the very first thing she ever said to me. She didn't even introduce herself or anything. I was coming out of the bathroom half asleep at the time and I just stared at her in half-amazement and mumbled OK or something. As I went back into my room and went back to sleep, I made a mental note to myself to always leave it up. And I did. She never said anything about it ever again.

At my house the lid goes down. That way no one falls in.
Lame as it sounds, I've fallen into my toilet a few times myself. Not the most enjoyable feeling.
You know guys need to sit on that thing every once in a while. It's a real shocker to fall in while you are still half asleep.
So the fix was to make it policy to close the lid. Now everyone is happy!
