I believe an emotionally healthy person should set boundaries and have a list of dealbreakers. I don't buy the idea that you have to be a prisoner to your feelings when a person is clearly dangerous to you or not a good match.
My list of dealbreakers is not very long, but... active drug addiction, drama queens, transsexuals, and STD's are a few at the top as are uncontrolled bi-polar and stalkers because stalking violates my boundaries.
-Do you have dealbreakers?
-Do you have boundaries?
-Are you helpless to your feelings?

BabyGirl you hit one of my main dealbreakers on the head." Control Freaks". I am not a child I do not need to be controlled.
I also have the list of
Booze.
Drugs.
Abusive,
Criminal Record >>> Due to career.
STD's
Lack of respect for themselves since if they can't respect themselves they can never respect me.
Jealousy.
Stagnanting of any kind.
Am I helpless to my feelings.
No I am not. I have a choice in all that I do the same as others. While I may have the right to always make the right choices I don't have the ablility. But I am never helpless. I think that is a cop out and a way to blame others for your screw up's.

Deal Breakers in Bob's Relationship World - Chapter 1
Emotionally unstable, or emotionally bankrupt people.
I will pray that they find what they are truly looking for, and truly need.
Narcissistic people
Until you have had one leech the life-blood out of you, no explaination is enough.
If you have had a narcissistic person in your life, no explanation is neccessary.
Materialist People
Those who place 'things' and 'possessions' above the importance of the relationship.
Do I have boundaries? Yes..
Am I helpless? No. Everything I *choose* to do, accept, or tolerate, is a consious decision. I am accountable for my decisions and my actions. I will live with what I choose.

HA! a good thing that one of my deal breakers is NOT someone who makes mistakes.. we all make 'em.. the question is.. did you learn from it?
Yes, I learned to not hit the 'POST' button too quickly..
Mea Culpa.

Healthy relationships are built on mutual give and take.
Here are some of my deal breakers:
You work harder than he does to fix his problems or to make the relationship better.
You keep asking yourself, "Is it him or is it me?" especially when you don't feel it's you.
You and only you are unhappy.
Another deal breaker is a man who can't get along with your friends, family or community.
Sometimes it is best to simply walk away.
