Ok people I need all your help. I asked someone for dinner,lunch, even coffee. Here's the hitch, Yes there's a hitch she lives lil bit over 1,000 miles from me. I checked into airfare,rent-a-car,and hotel.I even have enough vacation time to go
Now I'm just waiting for an answer. Now I won't mention her name. But if all of you would, Well help me get her to say YES 
She may think I'm nuts for posting this thread. But in life you need to take chances.

Look my man I am going to be perfectly honest with you Bert. 1000 miles is a bit much don't you think? What if she DOES say yes and you meet and fall head over damn heels stay in a hotel for a week only coming out for food and drink and get that damn "can't live without you" feeling??? I will tell you what will happen YOU WILL BE FOOKED! Or you travel the thousand miles at great expense just to find out that you don't "click" and although it may seem romantic and adventurous it is in reality a waste. But let's get back to the better outcome for a moment and talk logistics. Will you move? Will you be content with a long distance relationship? Will she move and leave all her friends, family, home and career? WOULD YOU?? Think about it for a moment brother I am seriously NOT trying to rain on your parade because I am a sucker for romance and will be the first to admit it sounds hella romantic but when objectivity steps in the logistics of it all kill it for me. I could not imagine the pressures that kind of relationship would bring to bear on your emotions or bank account...now if you are wealthy and have disposable income like THAT knock yourself out!! But if you are NOT wealthy, keep it real man.

Bert, I think that's a great IDEA. I offered to go about 850 miles last weekend, but I was shot down. I thought it would be a great way to celebrate my B-Day. I don’t have any idea why women think the way they do. I even offered her to bring a friend along with her.

I think lunch or dinner is a bit much for 1,000 miles - but here is an idea.
why don't you plan an holiday - an all and out holiday to where she is. Get there ask her out for dinner. Meet her see what is going on - but if that does not work out - at least you had a great time.
A guy recently asked me out from a long distance - and realistically I had to say no - because I am not prepared to leave my life for a maybe. Maybes are for 50 miles.
go on expedia.com and plan a holiday.

you might want to think about this really hard....what if she isn't what you think she is.....she could be some huge butt chick with uncontrolable teenagers and enough drama in her life for a mini-series....i'm sure there are women alot closer that you wouldn't have to spend all that $$$$ on just a whim.....i'd think twice maybe even more times before you do anything
