Our first tri-state social event was this past Saturday night. It was fun meeting the folks who could make it. We thought a monthly thing might be nice. It's sometimes easier to meet new people within the comfort of a group, so, we thought we'd keep this thing going and see what happens.
Our first event was in Pittsburgh. Thanks to The New Me and PRXF who came up with the idea. I'm just an organizing nut - so I jumped in to help. Those that didn't make it missed lots of beads and candy necklaces - not very mature, I know but a fun way to break the ice.
So, what about our next event? Should we organize something in the Pittsburgh area or venture to someone else's area? What day of the week is best? We don't have to do a bar thing - we could do a hike and lunch, or paintball, or climbing, dinner or any kind of activity. I'm pretty well connected to the bars/restaurants in the Pittsburgh area since I plan pub crawls for another group but I'm willing to help organize any kind of event in any area. I love doing so.
Well, leave your thoughts and let's see what we can do.
BTW - I'll be going camping the last weekend of April in Elkins, WV for the Ramp Festival - that's even an idea. There will be another group of 20 or so there with me. But I thought I'd throw it out there.

I like the idea of keeping it in Pittsburgh, since I could not make it on Sat.. As for events, maybe dinner and dancing? A brewery visit or wine tasting? I'm not sure what is available now and what is still closed until the season comes. Just ideas.

While I would like to visit New Castle or any other location in the tri state area, I'm afraid I'm limited to the Pittsburgh area, unless something changes. This is why I hope the next even is in this area again. I would hope to meet those who turned out before and even more. I'll just see what happens.

Okay, since the three of us seem to be most interested in pulling these together, do you want to decide on date and location? Seems Pittsburgh might be good until more of us know each other better - then maybe we can carpool to some of the other events.
So, I'll look at my calendar and see what weekend I don't have something going on. Saturday's okay for both of you?

Friday is better for me, Travel. I hope we can get together, it would be nice to finally meet you 2 and maybe more if they come. I may be able to come on a Saturday, but it's iffy.
