There used to be a former magican called "The amasing Randy" I think. He would go around and expose the big preachers who claimed god talked to them. He would find the frequency their assistants were reading the peoples info to the preachers on. I watched him on TV once. He was funny.

Good. Doesn't seem like there are as many TV preachers as there use to be. Mabe they are on religious channels. I don't watch them. Didn't program them on my TV.

My very first dose of skepticism came from the late great George Carlin. I've always held stand-up comedians as a new breed of performing philosophers (well, some). The man that really set my atheism in stone was another recently departed man, Christopher Hitchens. I'm not one for heroes, but Hitchens came close. Punk rock and Henry Rollins didn't hurt, either.

I skim the religious channels from time to time, listening for something different or unique. Looking for good speakers, sort of a hobby. America's greatest orator exhibits
an energy seldom seen. Youtube: "Gerald L.K. Smith" (32 second video)

I am pretty critical of what I read and after giving the bible a couple good reads I decided it is utter bullshit. Anything people say you can't take literally is a crock of shit to me. So I guess I inspired myself.
