Okay the only way we are gonna meet locals is by posting in here locally on a regular basis people. And getting to know each other.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with reaching out to others states to find some romance or whatever it is you are looking for. But at the same time. It would be nice to see more posting going on in here.
What's the worst that can happen by posting more in here? We might make some friends, meet some new people. Not everyone is going to like everyone. But hey there is nothing wrong with getting to know some of the single locals.

Rub it in 281, I love Prinville, is one of my favorite towns.
Do you know where Walton Lake is, I just love that lake and
camping there, I have so many memories of Walton Lake.

I've never been to Walton Lake. So I wouldn't know. I will have to look that place up. I can understand wanting to let your dog run around though. But I also understand that not everyone likes dogs either or stepping in their poop. lol I have a dog myself and am pretty good about picking up after him. But not everyone is always that considerate. It's the lazies who tend to ruin it for the rest of us..lol

I like to go to Big Lake. The Big Lake that is about a 20 minute drive away from the Town of Sisters. From there you can get an awesome view of the 3 Sisters Mountains 3 fingered Jack. And I think It is either Mount Jefferson or Mt Washington. I can never remember. Oh and Flat Top Mountain too. And it isn't to far from Sahalie Falls. That's a nice waterfall. It has hiking trails there and you can climb to the top of it. I have never tried but I think you can go behind it too.

Yep Sisters, Redmond, Prinville, that is for sure Gods Country.
the 3 Sisters is amazing, have rode lots of horse there, broken top
and I believe you are seeing Mt. Jefferson. Really like to drive the
old McKenzie Hwy, when it is open. Has anyone been to the Elk farm that
they have in Redmond, and the reindeer farm is awesome too. Everything is
growing up so much and changing. But still is very nice country.
Just love those pines.

There are no longer elk at the elk farm and the reindeer farm, I hear, has been sold for a Costco store. Central Oregon is growing. Bend was 15,000 when I liked it and 81,000 now. Prineville is 10,400 and was 6,400 when I moved here from the Sandy area, 10 years ago. We even have electricity and indoor plumbing now. LOL

hey now. lol you stole Roseburgs joke. People use to crack jokes like that about Roseburg. We haven't grown that much in population size though. When I moved here 19 years ago it was 20,000. I don't even think it has hit 25,000 in the 19 years that I have been here.

The road to Big Lake was closed last summer due to a forest fire. I don't know what, if any damage there was to the area. That is the 4th time there has been a fire east of Sisters, in the 11years I have lived here. You would think there is nothing left to burn.

Geeze. No Kidding. That place always seems to catch fire. I think it just gets to hot up there in the summers and dries everything out. Makes what ever is left easy to burn. I remember growing up we use to go camping every year there for a week. We always had a blast. Taking the boat up there and go skiing and what not. That place is always packed though...lol

I thought my job puts me in some crazy places, I guess if your area had oil it would be boom time.
That's a shame on lumber industry there, new houses would cost less if it wasn't the politics involved.

Housing isn't actually to bad here compared to some places, if youthink about it. I live not to far from Roseburg Forest Products. We have so many mills in this town it isn't even funny. We have 2 or 3 plants still open from Roseburg Forest Products, Sun Studs, and Roseburg Lumbar and Douglasw County just to name a few. It's crazy how many mills this place has.

Its work here for america for awhile, but its 90 percent going over seas to japan for disaster rebuild!
its same out here with oilfields!
we got enough supply here to drop gas to 99 cents agl. Inflation would break government taxes.
Makes us all wonder about our government!
