Hope everything goes ok BJ, I had a valve replaced in 2004 with a mechanical thing that drives me nuts. . I was scared to death amd I only had 24 hours from the time they told me until the actual operation. It is a little scary but let me tell ya, do what they tell you and you will feel so much better after your recovery period. Good luck man.

have faith it all you need you will get thru it its another one of lifes challanges if you try to look at it that way it works ive had ten ORS thru my life goodluck and keep the faith docters are goods machnics

 Hello everyone. Im here. Mich. heart denied my surgery cause they dropped me 3 yrs ago, so, its a waiting game. Sorry I havent been on in a while. Ive been a little under the weather lately. Had the flu an a real bad cold.

Hey BJ, a little advise I could give you about the surgery..if you are scared, ask A LOT of questions. Sometimes what you are scared of most is the unknown. The doctors will be honest with you about everything, but sometimes you need to ask. Technology today is wonderful, and even transplant recipients can be back on their feet within a week or so. Also, remember that the surgeons do these things all the time and are experts in their fields.
Im not saying that there shouldnt be fear, just make sure you pass this fear on to your doctors and they will make you feel somewhat better. God Bless You!!

Look at life as being this long journey. Along the way, there will be many twists, turns, and what not. It's easy to say why is this or that happening. I was doing the same thing, wanting to blame everyone for being told I had ADHD/AS and thought people were pulling the rug out from under me. What did I learn? What doesn't kill me will only make me stronger for who I am. I will live with AS/ADHD the rest of my life. But guess what? That is only a part of who I am, not what defines me.

I know. Call me a scared ass coward. Thats ok. Im just worried about having heart surgery done in a couple of weeks. Im to young for this but it has to be done. Everyday I keep thinking why is God punishing me? Some days I wish I was dead an wouldnt have to go through with this. I dont want to have it done. I just sit back an cry like a little kid, worried if im ever going to make it through this. Please help me out.
