Does it really matter that our money has "under god" on it? And for the Pledge of Allegiance they added "under god", I think in the 50's, why? For what purpose? Oh and get this they denied an kid from joining the boy scouts of america, because he was atheist. Who has the right to deny people access to organizations? Sorry just venting. Any thoughts?

The whole "under god" thing was about commie paranoia of the McCarthy era.
You see, since commies are godless, a commie wouldn't say the pledge of allegiance
therefore exposing him/her self as a commie!
Naturally, all the christians don't want to remember their history, so they argue
"Our founding fathers made it that way so it should be left alone".
They don't want to remember that it wasn't there for the first 175 years of our history.
As for the boy scouts, technically, they are a private organization so they
have the right to discriminate against anyone they want to.
Of course, when they argued that case over refusing to allow a gay scoutmaster,
it backfired on them.
Since no organization that openly discriminates is allowed government funding
or use of government facilities, they all got kicked out of the government
facilities they were using.
That sure got the christians all pissed off, but as they say.
"Be careful what you wish for".

Technically, money says "In God We Trust".

The bolded is true, but only if you're talking about paper currency. The phrase "In God We Trust" has appeared on US coins since 1864, so technically the term was introduced roughly 88 years after America (as we know it) came to be.

Actully the pledge of the legion started at a French world fair in the 1890's. We borrowed it sometime around 1915. "Under God" was added in the 50's to seperate us from the communists. I beleive the old saying was "all communists are atheists so all atheists are communists". Load of bull manure is what it is.

The Europeans during the times of the Conquest did something of similar nature...They, the French to be precise, coined the term Latin Americans to describe the negritos and indians inhabiting the New World...and to separate themselves from the inferiors.
At this point I wish to state that Hernán Cortés...who became the Marquis of Mexico...didn't know how to read / write. The same with Francisco Pizarro (Perú).

Duchess, I'm not surprised. We have been trying to prove our supority over each other since we learned to walk upright. Truth is we all put our pants on one leg at a time.

Bill Maher is spot on. I want a third party that isn't in bed with big money or the religious fanatics.

If there was a God I don't think it should say under God that implies that he is. Top and please every one knows he is a power bottom and loves to take some large d*ck. He had 12 dudes following Him around plus all his angels are men. And don't even bring the hoe into it. All my f*g hags wash my hair with their tears too. It's rule 113 in the gay handbook. Also I think the dude that betrayed him used to be his bottom b*tch but got replaced. He should have pimp slapped that mug.

I can actually put both of my pant legs on at one time. . I agree with much of what has been said, but how can a human appear without a creator? There has to be a higher intelligence right? Not necessarily what we are taught from our corrupt government. Life exists elsewhere and that's all there is to it. Think about the other planets, galaxies, and universes when you look up at the sky at night and tell me there isn't life elsewhere. Sorry, I just had to say it. FBI_CIA_DOD

What really annoys me most about this "under god" thing, is that
the majority of them want to believe it was something the founders
did and that it should be left alone.
Then every now and then, some one will post the Red Skelton youtube vid
to supposedly get everyone charged up emotionally about the whole deal.
The irony of this is, when Red Skelton went to school, it wasn't in the pledge
of allegiance yet. Anyone that grew up in that time knows this.
Yet they still argue the point.
