I hate wasting money on supplements. All you need pre-workout is protein and complex carbs 60-90 minutes before your workout and you are good to go. A piece of chicken and brown rice, a turkey sandwich on wheat, or three whole eggs and a bowl of oatmeal (not instant) are great pre-workout meals. Also for post workout, one of the best things you can drink is regular old chocolate milk. They have done numerous studies showing that chocolate milk has the ideal ratio of carbs to protein and tons of coaches give their athletes chocolate milk after intense workouts. A gallon will cost you $3.00. How much do all the protein powders and supplement drinks cost to use on a regular basis?
Whenever I read about people suddenly having better workouts on supplements, I am reminded of the placebo effect. If you become convinced that you will have a better workout because you are taking a certain supplement, you will naturally push yourself harder.
THIS.

Whats the best pre-workout drink? I've tried the 1MR, I really like it except for the crash, I've tried Evolution but wasn't strong enough, and a few others but they have alot of Sugar. Whats the best one you've tried
Most preworkouts are loading you with caffeine which is why you crash. Try a lower stimulant product such as NO370 or a no booster without any stimulants. C4, jacked, assult, 1mr etc are all going to give you a shitload of caffeine and thus crash.

Yes
I agree that Cellocor C4 is very effective. I have been working out for 10 years and combined with clean food intake and aerobic interval and some weight work it is very effective. It does not matter what your goal is. It has some creatine in it as well.
Another Cellocor product is D4. Another good one. Remember to cycle your supplements every 30 days.

I use Nitraflex 30 minutes before my routine starts. I only use 1 very small scoop
in a bottle of water. It has helped me to recover much quicker! I take 1 full scoop
each day when working out and 1/2 scoop on non workout days! I do prefer the
strawberry flavor. also I have not seen anything about having to stop for a month
at a time.

The only problem w jacked 3d is that it makes your nose run lol. It sucks when I'm biking on the spinner in a stand up position. Have tried many pre workouts in the past. "Blue Up" is an interesting one. Makes you heart and mind race so u have to pace between sets, runny nose, makes u thirsty. Then after, have heard stories from my buddies bout how they were up all night peeing and or had the old 4 hour erection lol. So I take it every day ...jk

Plenty of water, 10 grams protein, cup of coffee or caffeine pill. Careful
with protein, would limit to 10 grams per hour. All the body can typically

N.O. explode and jacked works good. Concrete for creatine. Best bang for your buck in my opinion is assault pre work out made by muscle pharms. They make a knock off creatine that's like con create too. You can gets both together online for like 55 bucks.
As far as your protein goes to the compliment above. That's stuff is for after you work out. But I'm sure you already knew that

Ingesting carbs before a workout, and protein after, provides the basic materials that your body needs for adapting to the demands of your chosen activity. Pre workout carbohydrates help ensure that your body has what it needs for rising to the challenge, and making the most of your workout. Post workout dietary protein provides raw materials that drive recovery processes in between each workout session.
Glucose is the primary fuel for all the cells in your body. Ingesting carbohydrates before a workout triggers the insulin response that your body needs to use glucose for energy. Your body releases insulin when you eat carbohydrates, and insulin carries glucose into the cells. Ingesting carbohydrates before a workout also replenishes glycogen stores, which provides muscle energy during your workout. The average adult body can store a total of approximately 500 g of carbohydrates in the form of blood glucose and glycogen
Post Workout Protein
You need dietary protein to repair cells and make new ones. Your body breaks down the protein that you eat into amino acids, which are used for repairing tissue damage that occurs during your workout. Workouts deplete cellular catalysis, which drive life-sustaining processes in your cells. Your muscles would not work without cellular catalysts, and ingesting protein after your workout replenishes these essential components. Ingesting protein after your workout also supplies amino acids that you need for building new muscle tissue. If you do not ingest protein after your workout, you will lose muscle tissue, because your body breaks down its own muscle proteins unless you provide sufficient protein in your diet. I have found Gold Standard Whey to be a quality protein supplement for post workout.

I'm using Pump-HD by BPI right now. It doesn't hit you instantly like NO Explode, 1MR or Jack 3d, but it sustains my energy through my workouts. I actually feel like I get stronger during my workout whereas most pre-workouts wear off.
BPI also has a new product called B4. It's a fatburner and preworkout combined. I use it in the morning before my morning workout. B4's main ingredient is a new stimulant called Dendrobium Nobile, it's suppose to be the new thing that companies are using to replace 1 3 dimethylamylamine.
Optimum Nutrition also has a new pre-workout that's good. I tried a sample and it worked well.
You might like D-Stunner. I don't like the new formula, but you might like it. It's pretty popular.

All you really need are BCAAS so your body doesn't cannabolize it's own muscle for fuel, however The Vitamin Shoppe has something that even kicks the hell out of Jakd! It's called ADENOFLEX. It's under post training but you can use it for both as it has gluts mine, creating, chromium pickle are and other compounds to help cell volumization which tricks your body into thinking its bigger and stronger until it actually is. I usually cycle off off JACKD WITH THIS PRODUCT BUT ALWAYS ADD IN YOUR BCAAS so you don't find yourself burning muscle. ( this is for people who work out in the mornin on a fasted stomach. Rememember: when you workout on a fasted stomach, your body will cause your pituitary gland to release GROWTH HORMONE, which in turn gets you ripped much faster than those that train with a full stomach! Just look at my pics! I even have a book coming out in October about such tricks!

Carb backloading has a unique way of allowing you to tap into your own body's natural adrenaline so that you don't NEED pre-workout powders. Keep your carbs at zero for a good 16-20 hours and you'll feel an adrenaline rush just getting up from the table lol. Just eat your carbs with whatever else you want after your workout. However it takes some getting used to before you can reap the benefits. You may feel tired at first until your body reaches a decent level of ketosis during the day. Just start off with a small 5-6 hour window with zero carbs and eventually extend out the window from there. You'd be surprised how much this trick mimics how you would feel on a pre-workout powder. Except you don't crash and it lasts all day until you carb up!
Creatine. Beta alanine. Arginine. Glutamine. BCAA's. All these little amino acids the supplement industry has convinced you, you HAVE to take in your pre and post workout powders...it's all bullshit haha. You get all of those amino acids and more when you eat a complete protein source like some chicken or fish.

I have always thought you need a decent enough amount of carbs early in the day before a workout for energy, then afterwards, in the afternoon and evening, mostly protein. Carbs too close to bedtime can result in storing them as fat, earlier in the day you burn them off quicker.
