sorry pups but ya gotta go back a few years on this, back to the Gracie, shamrock days when fighters would fight 3 and 4 fights in a night. 20 min rounds. true the skill level today is much higher, but those guys back then where some bad to the bone mother f**kers. i dont see any of todays fighters putting on a performance like that!

I've always wanted to see that fight. Both are really good but, I also agree that GSP is the best. I like how both guys don't walk around trying to be tough, they let their fists do the talking.

Ive been kickboxing and wat not for sometime I also watch films of some fighter and I have to say tht anderson silva is one of the best fighters around his stand up fighting is great and he could take the fight to the ground not many fighters are good at both but jones is good for a rookie

Spider is amazing, but I don't know at this level who can take Jon Jones. Age has a way of sticking it's ugly head out unfortunately, and Jones is in his prime. I think GSP is the smartest fighter I've seen but coming back from surgery is no easy task, I'd like to think GSP is gonna continue to be amazing and even better than before, but injury can also be his demise.

Gsp is a hell of a fighter one of my top five thirtybut lets be serious Wat can he bring to the ring for five rounds that makes you think for a second he would beat Anderson.

Rickson was awesome, but tell me who he fought?????
Two fights in Pride against a professional wrestler (Takada,) that's who. His official record is 11-0. All those other street fights were against no bodies.
Brock was no where near the best. Not even close.
GSP is the man, but he lost in the UFC.
Anderson, in my opinion, is the number one pound for pound fighter to date. Jones could surpass this, but has not done so yet.
Jones is also pretty much a heavy weight with a 84.5 inch reach, where Anderson's is 77.6.
The argument could be made that Anderson could be a LHW, but he has made MW every time, as Jones has LHW to this point. So, yes, Jones very well might be able to beat him, but they compete in different weight classes. To truly figure out pound for pound you have to ask who would win if they were the same size.
LOL@ Sonnen getting beat down after all that talk. I wish Jones would have fought him though. I was to be there.

I wouldn't say best fighter ever. I'm a huge Silva fan but won't give him this title. He is no doubt an amazing fighter, with skills far beyond most could imagine.... but to say best ever, knowing of past fighters and their acomplishments... I can't say who is the 'best' ever.

Chris Weidman stealing the belt from Silva says otherwise. If you don't think Chris Weidman can do it again, you had better study his past fights, including his fight against Uriah Hall (who has a similar fighting style to Silva).
