Everyone needs to find the fit. What fits them. What is best for them may not be for someone else. So I am not looking for anyone else's idea of perfection, just for my idea of perfect fit or near perfect (no ones prefect yanno lol). So everyone keep looking for that fit. Like leather seats in a Mercedes, like gears in a fine Swiss watch, like a hotdog in a bun, like a cat in a blender.. Whaaa? Oops strike the last one been up too long... Well you get the idea. Well being from Arizona my ideal fit involves lots of sunshine.

Lonely and picky have nothing to do with it...what happens is that people are often afraid to take on the things that scar the hell out of them. Once fear of a relationship is conquered finding someone can be found without using "standards" as a sheild.

I wish I was just being picky, I really don't like most other people, so I find it hard to find someone who's worth my time and the time it takes me to get close to them

If we are too picky, then so are the people we are meeting or not meeting.

many people not all are single for a long time because they are too picky. there is a big difference between having attainable standards and simply being too picky of quirks and other things that can be overlooked. there isn't anyone in the world who doesn't have some minor quirks and imperfections.

but we do have people who are too picky and never satisfied.

Bestman, should people lower their standards (or from what you say, become less picky) to accommodate someone else in their life? I'm just asking...... If anyone else has some insight on this, please, feel free!

I admit I'm picky... not so much in regards to looking for "model looks". But somewhat cute and 1 or less mental issues... I've wound up running into a few too many clinically depressed, ADD and Bi-Polar and on heavy meds for all 3... And without one of them they couldn't function....

I myself as lonely as I get sometimes. I'd rather that and fire up my xbox360 than sleep with random people just for sexual gratification. To me it's not worth it, and just be patient and wait for the right person. Other than that... first & foremost be open for friends no matter what, even if there's no "dating" aspect or any other kind of aspect involved.
