Better than what? Who wins in a fight? Or like WWF? I don’t like this question. Look a GSP he is a non-wrestler who trained wrestling and now is probably the best wrestler in his division. Look at NCAA wrestlers who came over to MMA like, Chuck Liddell, Cain Velasquez, Matt Hughes, Randy Couture, Josh Koscheck and so many more. I would say it is the best base for MMA. But, if I had to answer your question the way I understand it. I would say MMA is better because MMA is the evolution of fighting. You are lacking that skill go train it. It works both ways. All those NCAA wrestlers in their MMA primes would kick the crap out of themselves back in their NCAA days.

Do you even watch the UFC? He has fought and out-wrestled both of them. GSP took Koscheck down 4 times to Koscheck's one, and GSP took Fitch down 5 times to Fitch's 0. Google it, or look up the FightMetric report. Hendricks is the only one left out. I'm not even a GSP fan btw. He's OK I'm indifferent when it comes to GSP.

MMA stands for mixed martial arts - wrestling is a martial art.
Some of the better UFC fighters have wrestling experience - Brock Lesnar comes to mind.

Jokes on brock lesnar are played out... No one thought he could achieve what he did in the time he did it in. Also, he joined UFC after having 1 pro fight with a nobody... He became champ, defended and beat a legend, randy couture. He also had health problems an still came back. I like overeem and his stand up is world class, being the k1 kick boxing champ... If lesnar had a better game plan he could've won. Lesnar didn't test positive for steroids and wasn't suspended either, so make your own conclusion to that one

Wrestling is a good base to have for mma but it won't take you far on its own.
I've trained in karate as a kid, in my recent years, a little kick boxing, I'm a purple belt in bjj and did some muy Thai. I don't train like a professional fighter or claim to know everything, it's a sport/hobby of mine.

No ones saying he's one of the greats in mma... No one thought he'd win any fights against ppl with decades more experience than him. Randys record is irrelevant cuz he IS one of the greats. The age barrier between the two is more of a disadvantage than the weight.
Most fighters go down, some stay the same weight, but there's a few that go up in weight and then ppl make these excuses lol.
He got handed a title shot cuz of his name and popularity, he brought the UFC to a new level so there's always politics involved when theres big $ to be made, in the end, it's a business just as much as its a sport.
Brock had less training than kimbo slice and wasn't a bad fighter overall so he deserves at least some respect for his accomplishments despite his record or how he retired

Again, overeem is a great fighter but you can't take away that he tested positive for steroids after their fight. Isn't he still suspended? I wanna see him fight just as much as the next guy

For sure, the UFC knew what they were doing when they brought Brock in, and it worked like a champ.
I just got tired of a lot of people saying he was the best ever, and yeah, a lot did.
Not you, I get it.
I know Brock was never caught doing Roids, but do oh think he never did?
Reem, no doubt about it. Just look at the difference in size from when he started. Look at his fight with Chuck. Lol

Brock did a ish load of roids during his WWF/WWE days where it's recommended... Vince McMahon probably strap you down & shoot them in ur azz himself lol
Yeah, lots of ppl thought he was the best cuz of his size & strength.. Also cuz he was the underdog in most situations... People find it appealing & romanticize lol like rocky movies, or real life scenarios like battle of thermopoly (300/Spartans) etc.
Brock had exciting fights though and I would like to see him fight again but it's never gonna happen in mma. I think he's already signed with the WWE again. There's a lot more $ there for him but I doubt he makes his decisions based on $ cuz he left for mma and he's got $ and lives a humble lifestyle. Lol he drives. Normal pos car and trains in the mountains and lives in minnesota? Go figure. He's def not the best, just saying it is an embarrassment to anyone who fights or knows enough about the fight scene

I really have nothing against Brock. I deal with so many UFC fans everyday, and it was the wwe fans that made me pull against him.
I respect anyone who gets in there and puts it on the line like that.
If he would have started training at an early age, there's no telling what he could have done.
If he was not Brock though, he would have never got that shot, and no one would have been talking about him.
Good move by the UFC cashing in on it, but it made what I do for them a nightmare. Lol

Itz apples and oranges wrestling is only 1facet of MMA you cant compare the two a wrestler is only dominant on top hence if he gets put on his back its another story.
On the other hand put the MMA fighter on his back he has answer to the situation like I said apples & oranges Boxers think there better than MMA fighters too until they clinch Real talk

MMA. The physicality, technical fighting, and actual bloodshed makes it better, as in wrestling everything is scripted and predictable. If this was still the Attitude Era of Wrestling, they' be neck and neck right now.....gamer
