Tell me your stories.
Here's my story. My boyfriend has a controlling mother who basically told him when and where he could see me. He was going to school full time so he didn't work and make money, so this meant when he did see me, I paid most of the time. Also one of his close friends was lame and I didn't like him.
Things that I learned:
1. be friends first (even though that is hard). You really get to know someone.
2. plan out weekends before hand.
3. Ask what you're getting into.

Mine failed because after 12 years I just wasn't good enough for her anymore. Now she wants to come back, hell I ain't any better than I was I wonder what changed her mind?

mine lasted 14 years and even if we went our owns ways shes always there for me and me for her if she needed something...most of the women i went out with know my heart and what a good love i gave them ,and with a women i always to tell them the truth not what they wantted to hear.... i have learned that once a women has a part of my heart the feeling of friendship will always be there...life is more than just getting laid amd a love from the heart will never die.....dan

control and jealousy issues ruined my last relationship. but, i have learned how to spot these red flags, so that, in the future, i'm more aware of these issues, and look for the exit sign.

my marriage fail because she revealed that she was having an affair with her uncle since she was 16 .
what i learned is read between the lines when meeting new people.
have to learn to trust again.
i found my new self since she left and i like what i see in the mirror now

My last relationship was with a b/f (after my ex and I separated) and lasted just over a year. It didn't work out because he was mentally ill. I did everything I could possibly do to help, but when it came down to the relationship or my survival, the relationship had to go.
I certainly learned a HELL of a lot from that relationship, way too much to list. It's been 4 years since then.

My story...I married the wrong guy and stuck it out for 28 years.
We were complete opposites from the beginning, and steadily grew apart over the years.
We were unable to communicate or agree about anything. We stayed together until our son was out on his own. I hope I learned something from this!

She did a 360 degree right out the blue for no reason.
Lesson learned, no matter how great a relationship is, a person can change on you at any given moment because they have other motives outside the relation.

He HAD to get married to me before he was willing to have sex....
I just wanted sex
and NO MARRIAGE...
We tried but no compromising - talk about a man with old fashioned values.
Even my Dad said to him "Listen she doesn't want to get married, she just wants to get laid!"
LOL!
