dont let your friends try to run your life, that choice is yours and yours only to make
if your friends put you in a position to choose they are not really your friends real friends wont do that they will stand by you in whatever choice you make

I partially agree with bks. When I was 18, I entered into a relationship with a man who was recently divorced, much older than me and had 2 kids. It was one of the best relationships I ever had, but I didn't have doubts and he turned out to be a GREAT man. It sounds like you do have doubts, so listen to your instincts. A relationship with a "ready made family" isn't easy at any age. I wish you the best!

A real friend may say somthing If they think your not going to be ok
But will respect what you do and drop it from after they make there point.
If they are your friend They will stay your friend If not screw them
Not a real friend anyway

Anytime I am given a choice of one or the other< The one making my choose won't like the answer. Friends my be concerned, and voice their point of view, but if you choose the end result is on you, real friends are there when you fall, not to kick the ladder out from underneath you

The Duck has a very good point there. At your age, I'd say kick 'em to the curb. You need to live life a little. It might be different if you had the kids. Then you'd have them either way. Not just getting into a nanny situation by some sly fox. JMO
All the best to you.
