Why is it in a relationship that the guy is expected to change,"grow up",stop hanging out with certain friends, basically give up his own passions,hobbies and life in general but the girl can continue everything that she likes to do, hang out with whoever and do whatever she wants and if her guy asks her to change anything he gets the "stop trying to control me-change me" or any of the B.S. that chicks use in this case? I

Lol, I had those same arguments thrown at me before leaving my husband. This after I had gotten clean and sober, moved 2,000 miles from all my friends and family (at his request), earned an AAS, worked more hours, had no fun time, etc. So did I ask him to grow up? yes, yes I did. I was tired of being the only grown up in the house. I don't see this as a male/female issue, but as a mature/immature issue.

Ya your right. I am speaking from my own perspective but I do realizeand have seen it in other couples where the guy is the control freak. Relationships go both ways and in my opinion it takes two to start and build a relationship and two to cause it to fail.

I definitely had some fault in my divorce, lol. I can't give him all the blame....this particular issue was just one of many
