One more thing, Saftey asked me a while back about “car shows” and places we can meet and get together. Here is a list of some of the upcoming shows this month. They are all free to attend and all the people and cars are great. It's a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon....

i think you should take safety to cruse night in the back of your "el camino", remenber you need to restrain her by tying her leash down so she does not jump out or get hurt sliding around in the back! probally be a safe bet to put a muzzle on her snout also!!

Thanks flip!!! Very nice of you to say. Posting pictures isn’t that big of deal, just get a website like photobucket or webshots and post them to their and then copy their embedded code and post it in here. If you want to practice go hunt something down on youtube, click on “share” and you’ll see the code. Then just “copy and paste”. Hope that helps?

Good thread SK. I have always admired motor-heads for their passion and dedication to those amazing machines.

A hint: This is YOUR thread, SK, and you can block unwanted posters (AKA the the thing they call tazz) from posting.

It will continue to pollute your thoughtful and interesting conversation with it's mouth full of misspelled verbal diarrhea.

And to you tizzy...Get a life... Where did your A team bullying thread go?

In some places it has the new html code and you need to click the "more" feature and find the "old" html code.

I don’t know how many shows I’ll be doing this year, gramz? I’ve had the SS for over 6 years now and it’s starting to show the abuse of being not only a show/race car but that of daily driver as well. It’s pretty much do for a repaint so I’ll be getting serious on doing some body work on it in the next little bit. I think one of the reasons some women dislike us guys working on our cars is because they are never done and/or when they are finally done it’s probably time to start over.

I’ll try and keep everyone posted on shows I plan on attending or entering.

I was hoping to avoid this pot, but it looks like I may now have to address this issue……

I had another thread shut down not long ago in political chat. It was shut down not for anything I or most the people had posted in it but because two people decided to engage in verbal abuse directed towards each other so they pulled the entire thread. This will not happen a second time.

So far I’ve tried to ignore certain statements made in here but, I will longer tolerate them. I don’t like the drama (nor do most of us) and don’t need the hassles. From now on I will ban anyone that chooses to engage in this type of behavior from this thread. Feel free to take your personal drama’s somewhere else but, don’t even think about bringing it in here.

This is the one and only warning anyone will receive from me………

Tiger, look at the blue margin just to the left.

See the [ brackets? ]

And the word image?

Copy the image code from photobucket and make sure the code in the brackets before and after the image code you copy appears just like that in the blue margin.

Enjoy your thread SK. Wish I had some old muscle cars to talk about, but never have. Really enjoy pictures of the ones you share. Need some pin-up girls to go with them rods though.

Guess a son has an old Trans Am, about a 77. He's going to be gone for a while and I've promised him a redo on it. Think it has a 403 for an engine and an automatic. Needs paint, carpeting, seat covers, foam underlayment for seats, some body work, etc. No way that the car is going to be any thing but an investment. Thing is there is some sentimental value associated with a family member that no longer is among us.

Anyway probably going to need some tips so hoping your thread stays around. By the way, like your picture.

Thanks for the kind words, older and I’d be happy to help in anyway way (besides actually having to work on the car myself, lol!) with the rebuild on the Trans Am. I know a great (old skool) machine shop/ engine builder and I run into people all the time that do interiors, bodywork and such. Also going to a car show can help out if your at one where you can talk to the owner of a car and ask questions like who did your bodywork, engine, ect. It’s a good place to get idea’s to.

As far as “pin up girls “ this is the best I can do………..

at the car show.

Why she is talking to those two dorky looking guys instead of me remains a mystery to me to this day

Frightening! No one would want to bother with a scantilly clothed Safety Girl. Heck, I can't even get boys to answer my phone calls these days.

She's got the camera and outfits(I bet), I'm sure one of us could operate the camera.

I believe I was thrown up against a wall. There might be a difference. Or not.

"Instead, feel free to talk about gas prices, getting ripped off at a dealership, your dream car, or a fond memory of a drive in theater and how you ended up in the back seat and the windows on the car all got steamed up."

Sk I think there was a reason the second movie in those double features at the drive-in was so lame.....perfect time to steam up the windows. Back in my day a full size car was full size.

I got to thinking about this old picture I posted last night of my Mach 1 with the cops behind it with the party lights going……………

where'd he come from?

It's nice to know I have grown into a mature adult and don't have to worry about finding myself in those kind of situations any longer…………

If you watch that video I swear that's not my SS getting pulled over....

Swap meets are KEWL, SK. I used to go annually to one in Pomona.

I have also eaten at The Puck before and it was YUMMY! I especially like their turkey cranberry sandwich with avocado.

I did run out to the car show/swap meet at Rocky Mountain Raceway today. I was surprised how many people where there considering how cold it was. Here are a few pictures…..

They held the swap meet on the track. I thought that was pretty cool....

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. "Amazing," he thought as he flew down I...-94, pushing the pedal even more. Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival. Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."
The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife
ran off with a State trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper.
