My daughter's dad: we had known each other since we were 16, got together at 18 and had an off and on relationship because of his infidelity. I made up my mind to be completely through with him in September of 08 if he cheated again, which he did. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks later. I wasn't willing to try a reconciliation. With my son's dad: it was a friendship with a neighbor of 5 months, we dated for a month, we used a condom, it broke, he pulled out, told me after the fact, I took the day after pill and it didn't work. Now I have a princess and a prince, but that is why I'm a single parent.

I'm a single parent because I wasn't going to get married just because I was "knocked up". I do not "trap" anyone! It was my choice to do the best thing for my child. To this day, I have sole legal custody and protect my child with every thing I have!!!

He decided drugs and alcohol were more important. I decided I wanted my kids not him. Yes as far as Im concerned they are my kids he is a sperm donor and I saved thousands of dollars avoiding the sperm bank lol

Becus I didn't meet his criteria. I'm a Christian he's not( most men use us becus we r & take the submission scripture out of context to fit their needs) I was a single mom before I was married( he left me 4 hrs later said he wanted a white women & didn't want to raise kids that aren't his) also he picked his tickled d*ck & the streets(drug dealer & addict) over being a family man. All that good stewardship got me played too Many times(still does).
Now I can't get a ban at all! Single parenting doesn't get u to the altar especially when u can't have anymore. We r beneath hookers & groupies becus are sins r visible(kids out of wedlock or no longer with spouse). The deepest mercy has to be shed on us in order to find love & be married. Most of us die not even getting to an altar.

Because I realized the boy I fell in love with would never grow up and step up and be the father he needed to be so I ended it b4 it got too bad, plus I know for a fact I can do it better a lone then having to take care of a 21year old kid and a newborn! I definitly don't need the dead weight!

Im not single parent totally, her father is there for her a hundred percent ...he is wonderful with her, but his relationship with me was lacking communication,trust ,security,effection and respect ....everything I look for in a man. And everything a successful relationship needs. The battle I struggle with is getting him to see that yess hes a great father but PART OF BEING A GOOD FATHER IN MY BOOK is raising ur child around LOVE, and since children learn from what they see, SHOULDNT THEY SEE LOVE?? not constant fighting becus we cant get on the same page. We been together since highschool for seven yrs now he was my first everything..so quite naturally its hard to totally let go, but I ADMIRE ALL U WOMEN WHO WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO DO SO

Because laptops hurt when they get thrown at you, coming home after work to a filthy house, 40 empty beer bottles, her loud mouth drunk friends, and still having to cook clean etc is bullshit. Had enough and the kids didn't need to be around it.

My ex-boyfriend tried to control me. He would verbally and mentally abuse me, once he even physically abused me. He only started this once I was pregnant with his twin boys. He thought he could own me since I was carrying his childern, he was wrong. I left him in a heartbeat and the boys where given my last name. And the father refused to put his name on the birth certificate. He thought he would be able to skip out on child support. He is now forced to pay child support, but he barely sees them. His choice.

The incubator decided that after her 39th year that she was 18 again and wanted a bad boy. I took her to court for custody and won because she failed to appear at the final hearing. Lots more to the story, but my fingers would be sore from all the typing. Bottom line is that my little girl is safe and happy, with a bright future.

The truth be told and so many would question until they are willing to see the paper work. (That I do have)
A corrupt branch of Gov. drove their mother over the edge into a mental ward, and more. Sure I could of taken the easy way out and let them have my kids, but no damn way. Finally caught the court repeating the branch's lies against my oldest ( coasted me my oldest as well ) and had to slap other legal papers in a higher judges face about it. Than there was a turn around, and then they started to try another bs lie, but it finally didn't work.
Coasted basically Everything I had to save my kids. Slow to recover, but I would do it again if I had too. Now if that corrupt branch of Gov will leave me the hell alone so I can try and build something again that in time I can leave behind for my kids.

Life decided it had other plans for me and my daughters father and we broke under extreme pressure.. Our daughter is both of our world and we do everything for her.. Just because me and him did not work out has no affect on our relationship with her.. Its hard but we have a mutual understanding that what happened between me and him stay between us and it will not affect nor concern our daughter.. i chose to be single and i am very happy that way at the moment.. I hate how people have preconcieved ideas about single parents its bull and half the time not right.. alot of us dont choose this and some do but whatever the reason, does not affect how we love, the amount we love, or the depth of our love for our kids or the extent of how far we would go for them. Anyone says different then they have no idea what they are talking about.

Simple for the ten years we were together I was happy maybe two of them, our daughters mean the world to both of us but I had to make the choice that leaving him and being happy was a better option than ”staying together for the kids” and being miserable unappreciated and having a loveless marriage. It was the right choice and hopefully someday I will meet someone who loves me for me and loves me for my quirkiness not in spite of it !
