So what? Borders move all the time. When modern day Jews arrived in present day Israel it was an undeveloped wasteland. When Mark Twain visited the "Holy Land" he described it as the most desplate place on earth. No one in the middle east was particularly interested in it until the Israellis industrious approach turned it into a net exporter of argricultural products. Now that they have built it into a modern and mostly self-sufficient land with thriving manufacturing and high tech industries, those that were not so interested before magically are now. I wonder why? If the Palestinians and their supporters actually got it back somehow, it would probably be a barren desert again in a few years.
An indian tribe (I forget which one) in Oklahoma wants some private farms held by white families because they say that since the treaty was signed the river has moved and those farms used to be part of their reservation. Now that there are nice, productive, fully developed farms there, they want it back. Things change.....so what? Where you supposed to draw the line on this stuff?

I think religion is a lot of the problem. At least it is the excuse many use. The situation in the middle east in general is a very good argument for keeping the pulpit and the throne seperate. Mixing religion and politics is always a very bad idea and never works well.

So by your logic, you are saying the pope and catholic church don't follow the ways of christ? Even though I'm an atheist, I'm pretty sure catholics overall are pretty bible bound.
Crusades had everything to do with Christianity, that's why they are called the crusades in the first place!! (jihad is the muslim term or crusade)
Once again The Christians are blamed for everyone that prostitutes the bible. If you've done your history the Catholic church begin as the compilation of of christian belief with pagan practice during the reign of Augustus Ceasar during the Roman empire. this was done because he wanted to eliminate the separation of the Christians from the pagan temples. When this didn't work He began killing them by the hundreds. If you don't believe me read the book of Acts. Exodus 20:2-3 (I am the LORD your GOD which brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, Thou shalt have no other gods before me.)
